Today is my last day at @hypothes_is. I made a tough decision to join a larger product team so I can continue to learn & grow as a product manager. I'm going to miss working with such an incredible team. Leaving a job you love is HARD, even when you know it's the right thing 😭
It would be great if @LearningImpact and @Instructure (+ other LMSes) could get together & work out a way for LTI tools to respect name changes that don't come from the SIS. Something like person_display_name that LTI tools could use to create usernames for students & faculty 1/
I know too many people who are consistently deadnamed by learning tools because usernames are generated from data that comes from an SIS, and it's not always easy/possible to change that SIS info 2/
Forgot how quickly one's desktop becomes cluttered with screenshots when working the support inbox 😄
hey @Alban_Leandri having your page title flash like this is distracting & an #accessibility issue for folks with ADHD & other cognitive challenges. I would love to "Come Back :)" but I need a moment of focus on my other browser tabs first 🙂
Especially proud today to call myself an employee of @hypothes_is. #AgainstSurveillance
Today, we stand with @Linkletter and demand that @artfulhacker, @proctorio and @cassels abandon their lawsuit and embrace a healthy debate about educational technologies: hubs.li/H0BXN_r0
for me "wanna" is "want + to," where "to" is part of an infinitive verb. never "want + a".
Wanna have a tree planted in your name? --> fine
*Wanna tree planted in your name? --> does not work
...does that second sentence work for any of you?

Hey @Brendan_LH, enjoyed your Lifehacker post on reading and annotating with Outline and @hypothes_is - but as a Hypothesis employee I have a minor correction to offer! It's explained in an annotation here: hyp.is/61ppgAgDEeu8iytcM_qck…
The @hypothes_is sidebar no longer covers PDFs when there is enough screen real estate - this has shipped for our LMS app and embedded client; coming to the browser extension soon! Thanks and kudos to @judell for the initial prototype & @lyzadanger for the implementation!
Attending my first virtual conference, @prodcollective's INDUSTRY, today & tomorrow. I'm excited to see what an entirely remote conference looks like (vs relegating some people to a livestream while others are in person)!
As a woman, I am looking forward to not missing parts of talks because I've been waiting in a bathroom line. As a person w/ chronic pain, I am glad to attend without traveling or pushing the limits of what my body can do on a given day.
If you hear barking on a call with me, it’s probably this fella. We’re fostering him & working on it! He’s deaf so he doesn’t realize that he’s being loud.
As @hypothes_is grows within the edu space, I look to @remikalir in particular when thinking about how we can encourage compassionate pedagogy. Remi, I'm so glad you'll be working with us in an official capacity so we can do right by our edu community.
We're excited to announce a new collaborative research program investigating social #annotation & student learning in partnership with @CUDenver & our first scholar in residence, @remikalir. Join us & Remi for #LiquidMargins 12 to learn more. hubs.ly/H0vGcJ20
The world is stressful and confusing and often terrible these days, but I work with a truly great group of humans. At least there is that.
The @XanEdu / Xanadu connection *has* to be intentional, right? Anyway, three guesses as to what's stuck in my head at the moment

Hi @JessicaOstrow! At @hypothes_is we've enabled embedding @Flipgrid vids in annotations. There's an issue related to the aspect ratio of Flipgrid vids - lots of whitespace under the vid (see screenshot). wondering if you &/or a colleague have time for a quick chat?
