I genuinely believe we may be entering one of the most uncertain era in human history. Entire skill and knowledge based careers are getting wiped out, and it's only accelerating. From designers, editors, engineers, architects, data analysts... what previously needed a team of 10, now you only needs 2 people. I genuinely believe there will soon be more humans than tasks that need humans to accomplish. If or when this happens, what happens to society as a whole? Does the human specie realign its purpose towards more creative outings, like making art, socializing, humour, and being.. humans? Or, once our sense of purpose, which is derived from our need to survive, vanishes, will humans fall into an era of darkness? Only time will tell. On the long tail, I am optimistic. Humans are ingenious and capable, and eventually, society will re-organize itself. What worries me though is what happens during this transition period.

Bros it’s not that deep, stop having a scarcity mindset trying to save pennies. Tap your apple pay on the payment terminal without looking at the bill, and don’t expect anything back. What, you’re trying to save $50? Just focus on making more. If you genuinely can’t afford going out for diner and paying for two, stay in with the partner, or don’t date around.
splitting the bill is a major turn off for me when i moved to finland i noticed most people do it, sometimes even married couples i could never be with a man who asks me to split the bill should he pay or is splitting fine?

Entire jobs and careers are being wiped out. An entire generation spent 5–10 years studying at some of the best universities in the world, only to watch gpt become more useful than them at the very things they spent years preparing for. We all know that transitional periods are often among the most violent moments in history, and we are probably living through one of the biggest transitions humanity has ever experienced. Not necessarily because of its intensity, but because of the speed at which it's happening: > in the 90s the internet era begins > just 30 years later we depend on electronic devices to work and socially exist > AI arrives and takes the normies' world by storm > the biggest fears is not "will AI kill us" but social employement and generations spending their lives to get ready for a job that AI can do better with no years of preparation > fear turns into anger, mixed with heavy nationalism already in the room, everyone needing someone to blame, people become increasingly unable to see beyond their noses, division becomes real, war. > add to that educational systems that are at least two decades behind, incapable of teaching people how to research, think critically, use these new tools, filter information, or even recognize geographically targeted socials manipulation. It's a whole mess out there. And as much as I want to stay positive, many of the signs point toward a difficult road ahead. The beautiful thing about humanity, though, is that we tend to change when we reach a tipping point. That's why I still believe that doing our part, refusing to give in to the chaos, and setting an example can help mitigate the shitty cascade effect we are witnessing. We will see, humans will make it one way or the other, but our generation is suffering and will suffer even more.

UBI is an interesting concept I think about. UBI’s logic is that if a large % of the economy’s productivity is created by a few companies, these companies, or the state, would redistribute these gains back to citizens. But here’s where it gets complicated. Assume Claude or OpenAI erase the demand for having a virtual assistants, most of whom are from oversees countries. If UBI were to be implemented, it would happen at a national level, not international. Therefore, developing countries would have nothing to show for it. Think about how the money moves today. A founder in Austin hires a VA in the Philippines for $800 a month. That $800 leaves the US and lands in Manila. It pays rent, feeds a family, and gets taxed by the Philippine government. Now the founder cancels the VA and pays $100 a month for AI. That money goes to a company in SF. The company pays taxes in the US. And if the US ever rolls out UBI, it gets funded by taxing companies like that one. So the American gets a check. The Filipino gets nothing. Which means UBI can only work in the handful of countries that own the big productivity producing companies (You can count these countries on one hand). Everyone else loses the jobs and gets no check.
Replying to @leonabboud
The view that we'll all become craftsman and artisans is a pleasant one, but it doesn't explain where everyone is going to get money to survive. Not sure this whole prices will be so deflationary and/or sufficient UBI holds water, practically speaking (at least not anytime soon).

Something I need to get better at on sales calls is challenging people and getting better at pushing them to action. Sometimes, you have to be pushy on calls. I spoke with this founder 40 days ago, he wanted to start getting his app out by making content on socials. I check in today, and he still hasn't done anything, 40 days later! Likely stuck in his own ways. I see this as a failure on my part. I was not able to push him into action to change the course of his business.

Humans never change. Only the direction of their desire changes. Therefore as business owners and marketers, our goal is to position our products in alignment with where people’s desires are headed.

This is an incredible example of marketing done right. Notice what the ad did. It painted the dream life of the main character through the eyes of OTHER people. - The kid looking up to his dad - The friend impressed by his energy - The colleagues talking behind his back - The neighbor asking the wife what she did In marketing, personal validation is strong. But social validation is even stronger. You buy the rolex, car, skincare, hair growth serum, house, not for yourself, but for how you believe others perceive "yourself".
David Beckham’s media buyers are actually F*UCKING INSANE this is one of the greatest product ads I’ve seen from a supplement brand the format it follows is pretty simple but will absolutely PRINT if you pull it off -> The hook resonates perfectly with its target audience, describing the buyer’s struggles and catching their attention in the first second -> Follows up with the IRL benefits of the supplement, not describing it, but showing how it will change the buyer’s life -> Subtly drops scientific facts to back up the claims -> Clean CTA with a reason to buy now Anyone can learn how to make cute animations, turning them into profitable ads is the only skill here and this ad just gave a full on masterclass

Most people talk about content as a discoverability tool. To get new people to notice you. But that’s only half of it. What about all these email addresses, and leads who may have opted into your product but never converted? How do you push them across the finish line? That’s where content as a retargeting tool comes into play. For people to buy from you, they need 5 questions answered: 1- Is this for me? 2- Is my problem worth solving now? 3- Why this, and why you? 4- Will it actually work for me? 5- What will this cost me (Hard dollar cost, time, risk, effort) Guess who is best positioned to answer all these questions? The founder. Guess through what medium? Content. There you have it.. You now understand how a founder making content is not just about shaking your hips to get views, but it’s to push people deeper down your marketing funnel.

Yeah this technology is actually incredible. There’s no way to recognize this isn’t a human. Both scary and incredible. Can open up amazing business use-cases, but could definitely be used by the wrong people to scam others out of their money.
We believe voice is the most natural way to interact with intelligence, so we created Dessa, the most authentic full-duplex speech model ever built. Talking with it feels like talking with a person…full of emotion, nuance, pauses, and a natural cadence. block.xyz/dessa

Creating this training this took me about 4 full days of planning. Then 3 days of filming about 2.5h consecutively at a time (My voice couldn't do more). Say it took me 7 full days of work. There is literally no initiative I did in the last 12 months where 7 consecutive days of work payed this highly.
The greatest strategy to build authority in your niche is to make the longest, most extensive, free training in your industry on YouTube. This one piece of asset will generate you countless of qualified leads, but it also becomes the most potent sales material you can send to people when they opt into your funnel. Someone who has never heard of you sees you making a 4 hour course about a subject, you bet their perception of you, or your company, changes drastically. Would strongly recommend. PS: I'll be rolling out more of those soon for non-crypto founders.

I just got an email that a creator with a big audience launching his own AI clipping software. My first thought was that anyone could copy this. Claude can clip your long form content on the $20 plan. It got me thinking: if anyone can build anything now, what can’t be copied? I could only come up with five things: Distribution: An audience only you can access. Reputation: Being a face or name others trust and want to associate with. Relationships / Connect: People who answer your calls when you may need something. Proprietary data: Access to data that was incredibly hard or expensive to compile. Licenses and Regulations: Permits, Intellectual Property, Patents These are the only moats left when anyone can build anything with AI.

Unfortunately, crypto has very few active users. The most hyped launch of the year only has a handful of actual users. Even after executing a flawless marketing strategy. The majority of crypto users are consolidated by a couple of apps like Pump and Fomo. There isn’t a great business case anymore to build for crypto users. It’s a small TAM. The real business case is turning blockchain into the infrastructure that powers parts of the economy and financial system.
one of the biggest waste of times this entire quarter was probably @world_xyz got a good amount of attention from the entire space just to do no airdrop, rug the stimmy after a couple of hours and now literally nobody uses the platform a total of $60K in OI on their top markets COMBINED lesson learned somewhere: don't bait people

This mindset is keeping young men stuck. The fallacies I often see is that women don’t want to meet men, therefore talking to women in real life means trying to GET something or WIN someone. That’s not how it works. Women want to meet other men. They want the right guy with charm and confidence to come up and talk to them. Some have boyfriends, others aren’t in the mood, and some won’t want to talk to YOU specifically. But what the hell who cares, you’ll never see her again in your life. Men, stop thinking that women are a royalty and you are talking up at them. Instead develop yourself to be the king. Develop better traits and lean into the ones you are already gifted with. Whether you’re funny, good looking, tall, stylish. Become the best version of yourself and start taking shots on goal. Your life will forever change that way.
Near impossible. Women now only go out in groups. If they go out alone, they have headphones / earbuds on, scrolling on phone and not wanting to associate with anybody. Try new activities? Same thing.
