New idea: a gift card that works at a curated list of indie coffee shops, sold to companies instead of Christmas hampers.
1 stamp per café. Companies pay, cafés get new customers for free.
Pre-selling before building anything. Deadline: 8 Nov. If 3 companies don’t commit, I kill it.
Would you buy this for your team?
Day 7 of 30 Days of @boardyai
The speed-to-lead experiment is dead. 13 removal firms saw the offer. Not one said yes. No paying customer.
The offer: an agent that answers new enquiries within a minute. £500 setup, £120/month, setup refunded if replies weren't under 5 minutes in week one.
Why it died:
- The firms weren't slow. Que Removals replied in 7 minutes.
- So I switched the pitch to "you replied fast and still didn't tell me if you can do the 14th". Then the median kept moving (42, 58, 72 min) and I couldn't quote it anymore.
- £500 from a stranger is a big ask when your margin is two blokes and a van.
What I'm keeping:
- A lead store with 123 leads
- A repeatable way to test how any category handles inbound enquiries
- One finding that held up: almost nobody answers the date and the price. 5 of 13 told me whether they could do the 14th. 1 of 13 gave a price.
A good story, zero revenue. 5 weeks left to hit the goal, and I'm still at nothing.
I've shipped 25+ products and exited 2 companies.
Now I'm starting from zero.
No product. No business idea. Nothing. A brand new idea.
Goal: $5K in revenue by end of November, with ~90% margin.
I joined 30 Days of @boardyai to do it, and I'll post every step here, including what doesn't work.
Let's see if I can do it again from scratch.
Day 6 of 30 Days of @boardyai
I've been counting replies off a list where over half the emails never arrived.
123 leads. 64 bounced, rejected by the recipient's server.
I thought my bounce check was lagging. It wasn't. Pask's and Easyway Removals were both logged as delivered, and both had bounced.
Today:
- All Day Removals: free on 14 November, wants my number to quote
- Amazing Moves: sent a quote I can't match to an enquiry yet
- Doree Bonner: closed the enquiry after I disclosed the test
No more email until the domain has SPF, DKIM and DMARC set up.
Day 5 of 30 Days of @boardyai
Batch 1 is closed and I'm done quoting the median.
The same 15 emails gave me 42 minutes, then 58, then 72. Eden replied today, ~41 hours after my email, and moved it again.
What I'm tracking instead:
- 13 of 15 replied
- 5 of 13 said whether they could do the 14th
- 1 of 13 gave a price
I've shipped 25+ products and exited 2 companies.
Now I'm starting from zero.
No product. No business idea. Nothing. A brand new idea.

This came from @ideabrowser's idea yesterday. I was toying around with GEO already. Then, saw the idea and decided to jump in
Now, I need users to test!! Help me?

Day 4 of 30 Days of @boardyai
Yesterday I said London removal firms are fast. The batch closed and I was only half right.
I sent the same email to 15 firms from my own address on 21 Oct. It asked two questions: can you do Saturday 14 November, and roughly what would it cost?
Final numbers:
- 12 of 15 replied
- Median reply: 58 minutes (yesterday's 42 came from the first 8)
- Fastest: Que Removals, 7 min
- Slowest: Shifters, ~27 hours
- Never replied: Eden Removals, Hello Removals, TAS Removal Services
The median hides the real shape, which is two groups:
- 6 replied within about 45 minutes
- 6 took between 72 minutes and 27 hours
The second group: KK 72 min, Can Do's 83 min, Steve Frieze ~18h, A S P ~21h, Moving Mountains ~26h, Shifters ~27h.
What was in the replies:
- 4 of 12 said whether they could do the 14th. Good Movers and KK said yes and Shifters said no. I still need to match the fourth in AgentLeads.
- 1 of 12 gave a price
That one was KK: £65/hour for one man or £85 for two, with a 2-hour minimum.
I'd guessed £500-800 for a two-bed London move. Two men for the minimum comes to about £170. That isn't what the job would cost, but it's the only number anyone gave me.
The one firm that answered both questions was in the slow group.
5 of the 20 leads never got tested. UKVans bounced, SJC Movers' form wanted a phone number, and three sites were down. They're marked dead in AgentLeads. That makes this 20 of the 100.
The pitch splits too. For the fast six: "you replied in minutes and didn't tell me if you can do the 14th." For the slow six it's the wait first, then the same problem.
I've shipped 25+ products and exited 2 companies.
Now I'm starting from zero.
No product. No business idea. Nothing. A brand new idea.
Goal: $5K in revenue by end of November, with ~90% margin.

Maybe people are thinking MailCheap = Mailchimp?
@marclou people are hating MailCheap
Day 3 of 30 Days of @boardyai
My whole pitch assumed London businesses are slow to answer leads.
The first batch says they're fast. They just don't answer the question.
I emailed 15 removal companies from my own address. Same message to all of them:
"Hi, I'm moving a two-bed flat on Saturday 14 November, from Clapham (SW4) to Bromley (BR1), about 9 miles. It's a second-floor flat with no lift. Can you do that date, and roughly what would it cost? Thanks, Leo"
8 replied so far:
- Median reply: 42 minutes
- Fastest: Que Removals, 7 min
- Slowest: Can Do's Removals, 83 min
What was in the replies:
- 3 of 8 answered the question
- 1 of 8 gave a price
The other 7 haven't replied yet. They're still open, so I'm not counting them as no-reply. 5 more firms in the batch only take phone calls, so they haven't been tested.
This is 20 leads out of the 100, pulled straight from AgentLeads. It's an early read, not a conclusion.
If it holds, my pitch changes. "You took 6 hours to answer a lead" doesn't work on someone who replied in 42 minutes.
"You replied in 42 minutes and didn't tell me if you can do the 14th" might.
I've shipped 25+ products and exited 2 companies.
Now I'm starting from zero.

Hey @marclou have you voted here?
Day 2 of 30 Days of @boardyai. We went through 20+ business ideas and killed almost all of them
Some of what died:
- GEO audits
- Sales Signal reports
- A Sales Radar product
- A race results page for Brazilian road races. OpenResults.run already does this at scale
- A personal result page for running clinics. Turns out clinics tell runners to compare to their past self, not to other runners
- An AI visibility audit for clinics and dental practices
- A phone agent for local businesses
- An after-hours AI front desk for pet clinics
- Brazil tax-reform tooling, EU AI Act docs, a $9 competitor-change email, crawled public data products, a morning-briefing agent, commitment tracking for 10-200 people companies...
The rules I set that killed most of them:
- No reusing ideas from my own past
- No Brazil-specific ideas
- Short sales cycle
- Has to bring revenue now. Builders pay little
At one point I literally typed "i said stop brazil specific things"
What survived: speed to lead
Most businesses take hours to answer an inbound lead. Sometimes days. That's money they already paid for, sitting there
Plan in the next post
I've shipped 25+ products and exited 2 companies.
Now I'm starting from zero.
No product. No business idea. Nothing. A brand new idea.

I'm going to message 100 businesses in London and time how long each one takes to reply
This is the plan for the next stage of 30 Days of @boardyai:
- Pick one category in one city
- Send the same inbound-style message to all 100
- Record exactly when each one replies (or doesn't)
- Go back to the slow ones with their own number: "you took 6 hours to answer a lead"
- Offer the fix: an agent that responds to inbound leads in seconds
Pricing:
- $700-1,500 setup + $300/month
- or a flat $2,000 for the report and the fix
3 to 5 clients is the $5K
I'll use @treg_ai/ Apollo / Hunter / lemlist for the outreach and I'll post the reply-time data here, including the businesses that never answered
Starting this week
If a company is hiring a sales rep, they're telling you they have leads nobody answers fast enough
So that's my second list for speed to lead
The offer:
- 1st month free (not sure about it still)
- An agent answers every inbound lead in seconds
- If they like it, 12-month contract at 50% of what they'd pay the rep
They keep the budget they already approved, they "only" pay half, and nobody waits 6 hours for a reply
Testing it alongside the 100-business London experiment, as part of 30 Days of @boardyai
Day 1 (yesterday) of 30 Days of @boardyai
I commented "30" on their post. The first thing it asked was my goal.
My answer, typo included:
"I have mo product. No business idea. Nothing. My goal is to make money"
Then we made it specific: $5K in total revenue by end of November, ~90% profit.
I want to prove I can still launch something fast after 25 products and 2 exits.
And I want the financial security. Right now.
What I asked for:
- A brand new idea, not a refined version of what I was already doing
- A service at the center
- Side projects around it as satellites/lead magnets
- A path to a product later
At one point I also told @boardyai: "i don't have 1hr to wait for you to come back. hurry up pls"
The program ends Nov 18. My deadline is Nov 30.
I've shipped 25+ products and exited 2 companies.
Now I'm starting from zero.
No product. No business idea. Nothing. A brand new idea.
Goal: $5K in revenue by end of November, with ~90% margin.
