I’m almost down 100 pounds, so I treated myself to a little birthday beach photoshoot to celebrate 🎉 God is so good. Grateful for the mental and physical discipline that this health journey is teaching me.
I majored in journalism at Howard because I had ALWAYS dreamed of working at @ESSENCE. (It was in my admissions essay and everything, lol)
This year, I had the honor of guest-editing the mag’s Best In Black Beauty Awards.
This is truly one of my most proudest moments. ♥️
10 years ago, this @DVF tweet was my screensaver. I was in college, SO insecure and unsure if I’d ever make it in fashion & beauty.
10 years later, I got to meet DVF as an invited guest to her showroom – and got to tell her how important she is to me.
