No one will give you permission. But they’ll praise you afterwards.

How many times is each engineering team going to build their own AI dictation?

Anyone free for a dinner? [agents continue running in the background]
ai has dramatically reduced the amount of time required to build software & all that recovered time has been reinvested into attending founder dinners.

I used to host dinners every Friday in Hawaii and it was exactly this feeling - a set date in the schedule with great friends, good food, and good sunsets. It's social life and community that's our medicine.
when i lived in london we used to host sunday dinners almost every week. a bit of a lost art now unfortunately. absolutely love cooking for ppl & frankly even doing the dishes afterward so we’re bringing them back & hosting more at my place in nyc. tonight’s menu: - brown butter & garlic roasted butternut squash soup with garlic butter croutons - arugula salad with roasted pecans, goat cheese, & honeycrisp apples - n/a orange wine from upstate - mochi ice cream cakes a lovely evening all around. barely took any photos which i think is a good sign. we need more sunday dinners.

Very cool to see the era of makers. The speed of shipping, the product mindset. This is where the scale is tipping - where everyone can become a builder and thats frieken exciting. Caveats: Marc is a great dev and has been at this for many years. But also anyone can choose to do it - just don't give up!
I just shipped this to MailCheap.ai: 📚 Help center 🧭 Settings redesign 🎯 Contact segments 🆕 What's new popup ✋ Drag-and-drop editor 🎨 8 customizable themes ✏️ Editable contact status 👁️ Realistic iPhone preview Vibe coding software is my happy place. All I do is think, prompt, think, prompt.

Have you read Material World? Sand, salt, iron, copper, oil and lithium. How they each built our modern world. Highly recommend.
it's so wild that we can make sand think and work for us. the laws of physics literally allow abundance.

Up to us
You have to invent the future. It doesn't just happen.

Been doing a lot of cold calls today. Takeaways: 1. A lot in manufacturing still runs non-digitally. 2. Step outside of SF and you step outside the AI bubble. Companies are still far behind. So much opportunity.

Super happy to announce that I'm going through YC for the second time with my buddy Gui to build @Adsideai, and we're live today on the YC directory! PS: Look at this image long enough and it looks like Gui has no legs

Huge win! What a lekker team - it’s well deserved.

Reading Already Free by Bruce Tuft (great book) His take on this: He challenges his clients to stop complaining for a whole month just to see what else is there. When feeling the urge to complain, instead ask: "What am I feeling right now that I don't want to feel?" People are (subconsciously) invested in perpetuating their problems. Complaining serves a function - to keep your life at arms length. E.g. to think "Poor me." Trying it out for a month, will report back
there is almost zero point to complaining about virtually anything. you either change your perspective on the thing, you leave the thing, or you simply accept it. complaining is usually just the least useful fourth option & high cognitive load to boot.

Everything converges to a personal agent. Like your own executive assistant.
AI apps are the new browsers.

OAI and Anthropic will control top of funnel dollars into all these apps. What a huge way to control all payments. The next stripe alternative?
Okay, this is a big moment Build products > allow users to use their ChatGPT subscription for usage ‼️

Super powerful. I've had a nice taste of something that "just works" with @heyclicky Started deleting productivity subscriptions like Superhuman, Wisprflow. Don't need much of an interface any more, I just chat to my agents.
My take on personal agents: 1. The technology is amazing. 2. I often have no idea what to use an agent for (well, apart from coding). This stuff is only as powerful as what you ask. I don't think booking flights or restaurants is the killer use-case (but, useful!). I think the killer use-case will be in helping individuals use this technology to create new economic value: Starting businesses. Turning a hobby into income. Launching a $500 a mo side-hustle. From selling your first $25 anime shirt design to a clothing brand doing $5,000/mo, it's never been more possible. We all have these magical beings on our phones and laptops now to help us, and very few of us know how to unlock them. Another blank chat box does not help. AI will take jobs, but, I think it can start helping people create their own. An interface that helps humans unlock their potential is what I wanna build. Our v1:
