During a recent football match between Whitehawk FC and Burgess Hill Town FC, Ezra suffered a very serious knee injury which has left him requiring surgery and facing a long and difficult road to recovery. Initial medical advice suggested that Ezra could be months away from returning to work and possibly 12 months from playing football again. While the exact recovery time is still uncertain, it’s clear that he will be out of action for a significant period. Ezra is self-employed and relies on a few different jobs for his income. Unfortunately, being unable to work means a significant loss of income at a time when his main focus should simply be on recovering and getting himself back on his feet. As his teammates and friends we wanted to come together and do whatever we can to take some of that financial pressure away. Anyone who knows Ezra will know what a great person he is, and we’re hoping his friends, teammates and the wider football community can get behind him during what will undoubtedly be a challenging period. No donation is too small. Anything you can give will be hugely appreciated, and if you’re unable to donate, simply sharing the page would mean just as much. This is what football is all about. It’s more than just 90 mins on a pitch. It’s about the friendships you make, the people you meet and the community that comes together when one of its own needs support. Football has an incredible way of bringing people together, and hopefully we can show Ezra just how many people are behind him during his recovery. Every donation and every share will make a difference. Lets rally around one of our own and help Ezra through the difficult months ahead. Thank you for your support. ❤️⚽ 🔗 - gofund.me/5874aa7a4
