Alpha 🚨 I’ve been watching @CompanionsWfit for a bit and I think people are sleeping on what they’re actually building. It’s not just another PFP drop. They’re trying to make walking feel like an adventure again. The short version: 5,555 Companions. Cute little characters that live inside the WFit app. WFit has already been around for years. Real fitness app, real users walking, real rewards. Companions are the next layer they’re adding on top of something that already works. The idea is simple but actually interesting. Your Companion goes with you when you walk. You find stuff near you (chests, paths, little rewards). It turns regular movement into a light game instead of just staring at steps. They’re calling it the Endless Hunt. What I like is they didn’t lead with “utility.” They already have the app. People are already downloading it and using it. Companions are just the characters that plug into that world. That’s rarer than most projects admit. Free mint for the main collection helps too. Low barrier. Then the 1/1s and the bigger experiences can live on top of that. They’re also routing some of this through Robinhood, which is still early but gives it a different kind of surface area than the usual places. It’s pretty straightforward: real product + gamified fitness + low-friction entry + characters people might actually care about because they show up in their daily walks. Most NFT projects still have to invent the reason someone opens the app. These guys already have one. Not saying it’s guaranteed to work. Fitness + crypto is still a weird combo and execution always matters. But the foundation feels more real than 95% of the stuff that launched the last couple years.
