After talking about Black American xenophobia let’s talk about the constant depletion of our water bodies I was part of the demonstration to fix a galamsey infested society governments changed our water is still infested even worse than when we demonstrated. #fixthecountry 🇬🇭
Black Americans treat us the way the whites treat them.. being Black isn’t always the same as being African. The sooner we realize the better. It always irks me when I see people tryna be like them or fighting for their causes like they care about us RIP Javits Frimpong 🇬🇭

Very senseless post… even your end Sars campaign Ghanaians kept posting even though we had local issues to talk about today these same Nigerians that we supported are saying this. Ghanaians support your causes more than they champion their own and this is the thanks they get.
I want to say something controversial but, if this Ghanaian boy who was killed in Bronx was Nigerian, none of this sympathy would have been expressed by other Africans, they would blame him and say things like “he tried to scam them and they killed him”

Several Ghanaians and other Africans in the United States have come together to demand justice for Javits Frimpong, who was fatally shot while walking to school in the Bronx, New York. [🎥: Belalino]

I attended university in America and my very first week of university my black American roommate punched me in the face. I wanted to report her to the police but I was on a student visa and unsure if I could contact the police against a citizen so I reported to the RA instead. The next week her and her BA friends stole my brand new bicycle I had bought for getting around on campus. When I used to come to America every summer for holidays when I was a child, the first and only robbery I have ever experienced in my life, was a black American who stole my bag at the mall when I hung it on my chair at the food court and got up to go and stand in the line for food. Later mall security was able to find and return my bag to me but the thief had opened it and taken my camera (it was film cameras back then) and all my money. That was how I lost all the photos I had taken at Six Flags the day before that were so important to me as a child. Tomorrow they will say Africans just magically want to avoid them out of inexplicable hate, when experiencing negative actions are a sensible reason to avoid anybody.
If you came here for college or masters, you probably won’t be able to relate to the bullying stories. But don’t downplay people’s experiences. It’s real.

I don’t want to hear another word about how “Africans looked down on us” as though that somehow justifies hostility towards African immigrants.
so a young Ghanaian boy was bullied in the Bronx and he was eventually shot and killed. literally was such a quiet kid and he came to America less than a year ago. His dad has been in America for the past 26 years. xenophobia is genuinely despicable. I’m sick to my stomach.

Black Americans need to eradicate gang-gun culture from their community They should also eradicate the self hate (afrophobia) Bullying africans will never be good Now your kids are going around killing quiet africans kid
CCTV footage has reportedly captured the moments surrounding the tragic shooting of 15-year-old Javits Frimpong in the Bronx. The footage could help investigators identify the suspects responsible for his death. This is heartbreaking. 💔 #JusticeforJavitsFrimpng

I’ll never forget when my cousin from Nigeria moved to America and somebody told me they were bullying her. she was just shy and timid, and they would tell her to “speak english” any time she spoke. I would bust her in her class and say, “BITCH TALK TO ME, I SPEAK ENGLISH” and I never got in trouble because they knew if they called my mom she would come and do worse. they never messed with her again.

This is the type of conversations that need to be had
As a parent, I am heartbroken for the father. My baby is Black, and American, but she also has Nigerian roots. Do I have to worry about her being ostracized, and bullied because she speaks multiple languages, and is Dark complexion? Like what happened to parents teaching their children about TOLERANCE, KINDNESS, INCLUSION… children can go out into the world and be lead astray to fit in, but it’s our job as parents to do our due diligence on our kids friend circles, to see how they view the world and other people that don’t look like them or speak their language. Be better People.
