I compared Rust compilation times and battery life, across a bunch of top laptops including the Intel LG Gram Pro (2x slower), Lenovo Thinkpad T14 Gen 6, and AMD Asus Thinkpad. My favorite is the Yoga 7x slim, which is $799 at Best Buy RN, and nearly as fast as my 7950x desktop.

Anyone else getting automatically rebooked by @AirCanada to a flight with a negative layover? Hours on the phone and no online options even for a full refund.

As a long-time @Tesla owner, I strongly urge people not to buy one - they have terrible service and do not honor their warranty even for documented defects they have issued service bulletins for and registered with the NHTSA. Also, even comcast support is better.

There is no reason to be using Chrome in 2023. Brave is better and faster, (likely for years), because it cuts out the slowest part of the web - tracking junk and cookies & consent popups and all that sprawl of slow advertising nonsense that Google loves but your patience loathes

I keep expecting to open one of these and find a "Mahogany Red Blend" or something.

RT. Hey @Samsung ! The Galaxy Watch 5 would be a truly phenomenal watch if you add the ability to set or re-sync the time without doing a full factory reset! +/- 15 seconds is fine, but this +/- 15 minutes is not.
I'm 2⁵ everybody! At least in the time zone I'm visiting. also just experienced my first monorail traffic jam and cried during fireworks, it's been great 😘
I read Rose and Crown was the best restaurant in Disney World, so we went. Turns out, it's the most grossly negligent & callous place you can imagine. No A/C, was over 100°, wouldn't let us cancel or bring the check, people leaving on stretchers, puking - we left Epcot right then
Please RT: What do you think of teacher.cash? Should I launch it? There's a survey link for teachers. Also, any ideas for getting PTAs to care and get involved?

Did you know Ronald Reagan tripled national debt from $900 billion to $2.6 trillion, dropped the income tax rate on the top 1% from 70% to 28%, sold 1500 missiles to Iran, brought in 100,000 communists during Cold War and closed down mental institutions creating homeless problem

Gotta admit it’s really something to see Wall Streeters with a long history of treating our economy as a casino complain about a message board of posters also treating the market as a casino

🚨Beware the “return to normalcy” narrative. Normalcy was already killing us. Please do not be lulled into a state of complacency.

Good morning. Last night, Tucker Carlson defended white supremacy on Fox News and somehow, American companies, many of whom posted outward support for racial equality last summer, are still sending them advertising dollars.

We aren’t talking enough about the one company that provides services to all of these extremist sites: @cloudflare. This isn’t even a moderation issue. Their CEO @eastdakota KNOWS he’s doing business with them and is proud of that fact.

In 1923, Adolf Hitler led a failed coup. He was treated leniently. Germany moved on. A decade later, he was dictator, and the worst disaster in the history of the civilized world ensued. In 2021, when the president of the United States leads a failed coup, we must not move on.

You can’t describe what’s happening in the Capitol as a “small group of extremists” when they’re being supported by the president, 16% of the Senate, 1/4 of the House, the local police forces & officials at the Pentagon.
