In Budget 2026, we’re backing the Canadian artists who tell our stories. That means if you’re a Canadian artist, you won’t pay tax on up to $45,000 of income derived from your creative work.

Got this cute lil Geri Halliwell zine today of pictures from 1994 before she was famous! There are some proper stunning pictures in there, like. And she’s not wearing white in 90% of them!

This intentional misunderstanding of Marie Kondo is purely because white people are weirdly aggressive about Asian women speaking with perceived authority on anything.

a friend sent me this photo of my book on the shelves at Cafe OTO, in London, UK. i know how global distribution works, but it's still a trip to see something I wrote on a shelf in another country and an ocean away. plus it's a community owned venue, cafe and shop? cool as hell
a green book on a wooden shelf, placed face out. it reads: A Nation of Tinkerers: A History of Electronic Music in Canada from 1945 to 1985 by Michael Rancic.

Marie Kondo’s book really illustrated how cocked we are when it comes to reading comprehension. I don’t know how all these alleged book lovers were so challenged by a pop-self help airport book that said to keep your shit if you like it.
