An update regarding God of War Laufey's release date.
Since the reveal of God of War Laufey in June, we've been deeply grateful to see so much excitement for Faye's journey through the Everywhen. We don't take for granted the trust placed in our studio to make an extraordinary experience worthy of the passion and dedication of our fans. With this in mind, we've made the decision to delay God of War Laufey's release to May 20th, 2027. We will make the most of each moment until then by putting in the finishing touches and pushing the game to its fullest potential. On behalf of everyone on the team, we appreciate your patience and we'll be back to share more updates soon! Santa Monica Studio

"To help the team understand what we were aiming for, early in development we used phrases like “a puppet-show feel” and “the analog feel of practical effects films” as keywords. Neither puppet shows nor practical effects films reproduce reality exactly as it is. Even so, both create a convincing sense that the characters truly exist within their respective fantasy worlds. A Steam user managed to get a free controller replacement despite being outside the warranty period. Steam agreed to replace it for free as a customer service gesture. “It appears that the controller would need to be replaced to resolve the issue. The warranty period for your purchase has expired, however as a customer service gesture we can replace the controller.” They then asked the user to provide their full name and shipping address to send the replacement.
