At least 228 of the Fortune 500 companies have now made contributions totaling over $13 million to the 147 Republicans who voted not to accept the 2020 election results. Many of these companies had stopped donating to them after the Jan. 6 insurrection. wp.me/p2x5lD-sE
Question 1, the Fair Share Amendment, is a win-win: it's great for the residents of MA and for all our businesses. Better educated employees and better transportation to get employees to work and goods to markets. Vote YES!
Facts are facts: Fair Share will benefit ALL of us, small business owners especially. #FairShare #YesOn1 Read more here 👉bit.ly/3FjuMPx

As Supreme Court Justice Brandeis said, “we can have democracy … or we can have great wealth … but we can't have both.” A wealth tax & a more progressive income tax are needed to reduce economic inequality and corruption of our elections by the wealthy. wp.me/p2x5lD-sB

The truth comes out about Question 1, the Fair Share Amendment. Vote YES. The opposition has been lying about its effects.

Jason is awesome! We need to re-elect him so he can continue to work for our local communities, our students, our early education and child care system, parents, and workers.
Proud to be endorsed by Reading resident & activist @lippittja and honored to work with him on behalf of our district #TeamJason #DeliversResults #Reading

Corporate profits are at record levels. Child poverty went back up after the enhanced child tax credit was allowed to expire last Dec. Who do you think deserves tax benefits from Congress? Kids or corporations?
Let's make our tax system a bit fairer and fund our education and transportation systems while we're at it. Vote YES on Question 1, the Fair Share Amendment.

Billionaires agree our communities need money for roads + schools—they see the same potholes and struggling students we do. They just want working people to keep picking up the tab. If you’re sick of letting them get away with it, help GOTV for YES on 1: fairsharema.com/volunteer

To reduce inflation, we need a windfall profits tax on price gouging corporations and their record profits not interest rate increases from the Fed.
Oil prices today: $85.90 a barrel Gas prices today: $3.85 a gallon Oil prices in April 2010: $85.66 a barrel Gas prices in April 2010: $2.85 a gallon Gas prices are $1 a gallon higher than they should be because of Big Oil's greed. We need a windfall profits tax.
To reduce inflation, we need a windfall profits tax on price gouging corporations and their record profits not interest rate increases from the Fed.
While the cost of Halloween candy has surged more than 13.1% since last September, the Mars candy bar family became 44% richer during the pandemic increasing their wealth by $32.6 billion. The Mars family is now worth $106.8 billion. Do you know what’s scary? Corporate greed.
To reduce inflation, we need a windfall profits tax on price gouging corporations and their record profits not interest rate increases from the Fed.
The next time you hear someone blame inflation on stimulus checks that Americans got almost two years ago, remind them that corporate profits are at a 70-year-high.
To stop wealthy individuals & corporations from corrupting our candidates & political system, we must enhance disclosure of campaign spending & enact small donor matching to reduce dependence on wealthy donors & allow limits on the size of contributions. wp.me/p2x5lD-sy

The T is planning to spend hundreds of millions of dollars on a new fare collection system. We'd all be better off if they made the T free and spent those millions on making it run better!
I still cannot believe that of all the issues facing the T, the state decided this was the “problem” that needed “solving.” (It isn’t and it doesn’t.)

I never made close to a million dollars a year in my 45 years of working, and certainly not in retirement. I won't make a million dollar profit when I sell my home either. Let's make our tax system a bit fairer and ask those with million dollar incomes to pay a little bit more.
Most of us aren’t millionaires. The #FairShareAmendment would mean that ONLY .7% of residents would pay any extra taxes. Vote #YesOn1 this November to increase funding for our schools, transportation, and roads!

Wealthy individuals and corporations are buying our political system like never before. Congressional races, state ballot questions, and possible 2024 presidential candidates are all raising record amounts of money. All of this is bad for democracy. wp.me/p2x5lD-sr

Tax cuts for wealthy individuals and corporations do NOT create an economy that lifts all boats. They lift the yachts and no one else. Hopefully, we've learned this lesson after having been duped multiple time and seeing the clear results.
Trickle down economics was invented by conservatives in the 1980s to justify massive tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations. It’s been nothing short of a disaster.
The Supreme Court needs a code of ethics like every other court in the country.
When it comes to conflicts of interest, Supreme Court justices only have to follow the honor system. It isn’t working (looking at you, Justice Clarence Thomas). I’ve got a bill to overhaul the recusal process and make them finally follow a binding code of ethics.

Being pro-life means supporting economic & reproductive justice. States that restrict abortion rights & limit supports for families disempower & subjugate women. For 50 years Republicans have used anti-abortion & “pro-life” rhetoric for political purposes. wp.me/p2x5lD-sn
I hope you both run again! Sorry you didn't win this time, but your voices, expertise, and experiences are sorely needed in our policy making.
About to go on @WBUR’s @RadioBoston with @Tanisha4MA to talk about lessons learned from running for statewide office. Tune in! #mapoli
The Federal Reserve's interest rate increases are NOT addressing the causes of inflation. A windfall profits tax would be much more effective.
.@federalreserve’s Chair Powell just announced another extreme interest rate hike while forecasting higher unemployment. I’ve been warning that Chair Powell’s Fed would throw millions of Americans out of work — and I fear he’s already on the path to doing so.
