RON WARMINGTON SAYS THIS IS BIGGER THAN POST OFFICE SCANDAL The man who helped expose the @PostOffice scandal says he has found a cover-up that is bigger than Horizon. Nobody seems to be listening, which sounds familiar. Ron Warmington is a 75 year old fraud investigator and former Citibank director. He and his colleague Ian Henderson were hired by the Post Office to examine the Horizon computer system, then fired. Their interim report found two bugs that hit 76 branches. The @ITV drama merged the pair into one character called Bob Rutherford. Ron Warmington now says the next monstrous cover-up is the air inside passenger jets. He says pilots are being harmed, sometimes catastrophically, by toxic fumes in cabin air, and that the airline industry and regulators keep denying it. His words for it are global, real, and bigger than Horizon. He expects this to burst into public awareness with explosive force. He suspects a major crash will happen at some point, with a comatose pilot and co-pilot letting go of the controls on descent. He says there have already been near misses. This is a man who spent his career toning things down and never crying wolf. On this one he calls the situation outrageous. He came to it through Ian Warren, a subpostmaster wrongly accused of stealing £18,000. Ian Warren met Captain John Hoyte @JohnHoytePilot by chance at an event in Norfolk. Ron Warmington has advised John Hoyte’s group, the Aerotoxic Association @AerotoxicAssoc, ever since. He says the members are trying to get attention and nobody is paying any. His Horizon comparison is about risk. The Post Office made the risk decisions and pushed the burden onto postmasters. In aviation he says the burden falls on crew, passengers and the people the planes could land on. He believes airlines have stretched out engine maintenance, so oil leaks get worse, and that boards hope the problem goes away because fixing it threatens their jobs. That is his view of the story. The record backs the concern. Over 20 years, more than 50 recommendations and findings from 12 air accident bodies worldwide have related to contaminated air. The UK Air Accidents Investigation Branch has twice asked for contaminated air warning systems on large passenger aircraft. Manufacturers and regulators dismissed it. No aircraft flying today has a detection system. The Civil Aviation Authority says there is no positive evidence of a link to long-term health effects. The Post Office denied it for years. Ron Warmington has heard this script before. Helen McArdle reported his comments in The Herald @heraldtweets in September 2024. If you are a journalist, this is your story. If you fly, please share this so more people know. I put the link to John Hoyte’s full story in the comments. FUJITSU COOKED THE BOOKS On 19 August 2008, Michael Rudkin visited Fujitsu HQ in Bracknell. MP Andrew Bridgen @ABridgen told Parliament that Michael Rudkin saw engineers secretly altering branch accounts. Fujitsu managers spotted him watching and showed him the door. Michael Rudkin was a senior figure at the National Federation of SubPostmasters @NFSP_UK, the group that speaks for Post Office branch managers. His wife Susan Rudkin ran the Post Office branch in Ibstock, Leicestershire, with him. The @PostOffice ran its branches on a computer system called Horizon, built by Fujitsu @fujitsu_uk. Horizon showed money missing that was never missing. More than 700 postmasters were prosecuted between 2000 and 2014 because the computer said so. The morning after Michael Rudkin's visit, Post Office inspectors arrived at his branch and announced a £44K shortfall that had appeared overnight. What a coincidence. Susan Rudkin was convicted of theft. She got a suspended sentence, 300 hours of unpaid work and an electronic tag. Michael Rudkin lost his job and his union role. Andrew Bridgen later challenged Fujitsu about the visit. He says Fujitsu replied that Michael Rudkin had never been there, then that the visitors book for that day was lost.. Back in 2014 Andrew Bridgen had told @UKParliament that Michael Rudkin signed it at reception. Handy how paper goes missing. The couple turned their home into a B&B to pay the bills. The Post Office offered them £600K in compensation. Michael Rudkin called the offer obscene. It works out at about £100 a day for the years they lost. Susan Rudkin was cleared in December 2020, one of the first six people to get a Horizon conviction quashed. She carried a theft conviction for more than 11 years. Fujitsu says the book is lost. Somebody should check the lost property office. They might find my faith in the system in there too. Sources @ComputerWeekly @itvnews @BBC @Daily_Express and others.

Max’s Diary 🐾 Mum had a hard day. I could smell it before she spoke. Stress has a scent. Her breathing is different. She came for cuddles. There was a tear. Salty. Of course I knew. When my human wobbles, I stay close. Pack rules. She’s my safe place. I’m hers.🫶🐾

Diary Mum overslept so toilet break was a scandalous 9:45. Then she made us stand in the rain for 20 WHOLE mins. Coco shivering. I took it on the snout like a hero. Then she had the audacity to Comment on how muddy we were! Got bathed and locked in the kitchen for an hour to dry!

Coco’s Diary Dad’s resting his toes so Mum’s doing Dad jobs. Wandering the field with phone torch, trying to locate our number twos. Keeps muttering about a needle & a haystack. I adore my Mum. I just don’t fully understand her. Baffled comes to mind. Nothing stranger than folk!
