Having effective facilitation can make a massive difference to outcomes. By enabling clear communication, structured problem-solving, and inclusive decision-making, facilitation drives performance & innovation. Bringing in highly skilled external facilitators who help us to see the big picture can be a powerful intervention but it isn't enough. Every leader should be a facilitator. Leaders who prioritize & cultivate facilitation skills often see immediate improvements in team dynamics & productivity. Facilitative leadership can create a strong foundation for sustained success. voltagecontrol.com/articles/…. By Voltage Control. Graphic by Adrian Robke.

Clare, what a wonderful tribute to all providing your care. I laughed when you talked of the hospital corners and your question ‘ in this moment , how are you? ‘ an enabler. Pinched with pride! Take care of you and well done to @qvh East Grinstead
In the week before Christmas, most people are doing final prep, presents, food & decorations.  Instead of that happy normal, I spent that week as a patient. This podcast is my way of saying thank you to everyone who took care of me @qvh East Grinstead. 🎧speakforme.co.uk/podcast-epi…

In January 2023 15-year-old Holly was stalked and murdered by her ex-boyfriend. She was too young to be classed as a victim of domestic violence but her family believes her death should be recognised as such in order to help save young lives in the future. bbc.com/news/articles/cy0l90… Lee and Micala Trussler hope Holly’s story may educate others about domestic abuse in young relationships.

Husbands coming to see me today- as every day- the sheer love and outpouring of support also taking about death and living in a hospice is a brilliant thing - people need to have more dialogue around death and how families are affected at this time- it’s scary I know

If we want to create large scale, radical change, we need to shift from a "manager’s mindset" (building consensus & redesigning processes to make them more predictable & efficient) to a "changemaker’s mindset" (building coalitions & creating space for exploration & discovery). See new article by @Digitaltonto: medium.com/@greg-satell/why-…. It reminds me of "the hierarchy of capabilities" in "Humanocracy: how to create organisations as amazing as the people in them" by @profhamel & @MicheleZanini. If we want people to innovate for new ways of working, we have to create the space, conditions & leadership support for it. See also @PaulIanTaylor on the "values of innovation" vs the "values of production: paulitaylor.com/2017/07/02/s…

On average, 1 woman every 5 days is killed as a result of domestic abuse in England and Wales. When you set up a monthly donation to support our life-saving services, we will send you back a packet of seeds to remind you of your impact. Donate now.
