My new graphic novel Lady Midnight: Devils Dwell in Silent Springs launches tomorrow OCT 20th! A mysterious killer with a murder method no one can figure out. A revenge plot spanning back decades. Midnight must solve a supernatural killer before it strikes again. Midnight is a character the mainstream has refused to make for the last ten years: a woman who'll put others before herself.

It was wokeness. Veilguard was cringe and off-putting. It was nothing a Dragon Age fan wanted since the storyline was such a huge factor. Wokeness sanitized it into safe corporate slop. Had Veilguard been a smash hit, do you really think BioWare would be in trouble?

Are we ready to have the conversation that corporate greed, publisher interference, and studio mismanagement is what killed Bioware. Not queer people, not women, not wokeness, or DEI hires, but instead Corpo greed, and declarations that all games must have a live service, because EA wanted every game to be a virtual money printer like FIFA/Madden Ultimate Team was.

Evil is always a very interesting topic. In fact, that's why I continue to say the most defining moment along a hero's journey, for any character, is their temptation test. A hero will succeed while villains tend to fail.
