🇲🇽 One year ago today, Lando Norris took the lead of the drivers’ championship in Mexico & didn’t let go until he won his maiden title 🏆
He won the race by 30.3 seconds, the largest margin of victory in Mexico since 1968.

🚨 Kimi Antonelli & Lando Norris had very impressive stints on the hard tyre in Sunday's race
• Only 6 green flag laps from Antonelli went into the 1:40s when he was on the hards
• Norris gained 3 positions, more than any driver that started in the top 20. This stint was why.

lando: "the pace on the hards was very, very strong actually. the thing is just i'm having to push way beyond what i kind of would do in an ideal scenario. i gave myself the best opportunity for a great result today, which was hoping for a vsc or a safety car or whatever it was. so we certainly gave ourselves the best shot.
by the end of the race it didn't look like it because i'm paying the price of trying to get the best result, especially in that middle part of the race. but p5 was the best we could achieve today, so i'm happy.
i feel like i drove a very strong race and managed to give myself the best of every opportunity we had. we just still aren't quick enough and not quick enough to do anything surprising or really be able to come through. i feel like the pace was kind of where we were after the first ten laps, is where i was at the end of the race. so we we need a little bit more"
