Our recurring donations are $169/mo but our monthly hosting costs are $269.87 (& may increase to $390/mo). This $100-200 shortfall is usually covered by our founders but this isn't good long term. Consider donating to keep LocalWiki running smoothly! localwiki.org/donate/

We just added our first @localwiki entry for the Emeryville page which is a brief history behind Landregan Street which was renamed Horton in the early 2000s. The page is open for any amateur historian to edit and add their own entries. localwiki.org/emeryville/Lan…

We experienced about 25 minutes of downtime. Services should be running as usual now and we are investigating causes.

Yknow what's been a blessing while working on the WIPs set in a fantasy version of my home town? LocalWiki. Whoever put all those pages on there is committed. Even if I heavily side eye some of the things it says, it's overall a great resource #writing #worldbuilding

LocalWiki bit.ly/3FrVCCq

Our maps weren't loading for a while today. The issue's been fixed. Maps will look kinda weird for a little while until we port over our old map style to the new map system - hold tight!

Provocative framework: renewable vs disposable assignments. With disposable assignments, students throw away their work after it's graded. With renewable, the student work persists because it has value to someone beyond the class. xitter.cf/susmcgowan/status/9406…
