Interesting day with Metagen looking at their new lab and factory. Great that we have an objective way to measure soil microbial diversity, with the aim of unlocking the power of soil biology. #soilhealth, @CrownAnalytical to cross check with other cotton soil disease.

Early infection #Verticillium can cause death #cotton. In a less frequent event a survivor shows very little classic leaf mottling. Yet both barely bear fruits
Vert still prevalent in many of our surveyed fields, but mostly late infection, so the crops still performing well👍

This was cut for hay 20th Dec. 250mm rain since & it’s time for destruction & incorporation. Will be interesting to measure vert inoculum levels again in a few months as part of the Richard Williams Initiative. @CrownAnalytical @csd_cotton
