Yorkshire Dance is appalled by the riots, violence, racism and hatred which have unfolded in communities across the UK over the last week. This has impacted the safety of the artists who deliver our dance sessions, the people who enjoy their weekly dance class and our staff team.

I was 10 when the race riots hit Bradford
It took years for our city to heal
I grew up watching our elders, neighbours & communities build back our city
Don't underestimate the work needed to heal the trauma of the past couple of days, not just in 1 city but across the country
One week on, and I’ve still not come down off the ceiling! What a spectacular group of people I worked with on SMOOSH by @paraorchestra for BD:Fest . I was participation coordinator for @bradford_2025 . And what fabulous participants I had to coordinate! Huge shout out to the
@Paraorchestra musicians, dancers and team. Your welcome, inclusivity and care is second to none. A very, very special company to work with. 🎶💃🏻🎵🎺🎷🎼 @bdculture_ @hannahwilliamsw @ProdPhill @MtGstudios #smoosh #bradford #inclusivearts 📸 @53DegNorthPhoto @tarlyn
