some weirdo on instagram took my few photos I had there and was tagged in and made AI deepfakes of me jorking it to some random girl and made groups with my friends to try and extort me 💀 literally out of nowhere, and they look realistic too. AI is fucking scary holy shit
people can still build like this even nowadays, it's that we lost that sense of freedom we had back then of creating whatever we wanted no matter if it looked bad or not.
Now building is way more "streamlined" and you're expected to pull off insane visuals instead of having fun.
1. i have many parts in widely known OG levels (yata, artificial ascent, digital descent and more stuff)
2. i made a level with majacko (not many can say they did and that's pretty epic)
3. i made the very first ever demonlist :)
when I look at these kind of levels, I feel a sense of joy. They are so much more appealing to look at compared to levels nowadays. In fact I wish newer 2.2 levels included the old classic GD feel with new editor features, instead of being glorified music videos.

Day 3! Wanna show you a classic 1.7 auto from one of my favourite OG creators. This is one of the maps that inspired me to search for unrated gems. Such great designs for the time, especially at 0:38.
