Proud to stand alongside restaurant workers, Donavan McKinney, Rashida Tlaib, and Detroit leaders for a Server for an Hour!
From serving tables to listening to workers, one message was clear: every worker deserves a full living wage with tips on top.
One job should be enough ✊🏽

🚨 Oakland is one step closer to a $30 minimum wage!
After months of organizing by One Fair Wage, the Black Organizing Project, and community partners, a City Council committee voted 4–0 to advance the proposal.
Next stop: Full Council on Dec. 1.
One job should be enough.

The CA GOP should gain political courage & speak out against Trump #HR1 food cuts to #children #veterans & #fosteryouth and the inhumane conditions in which ICE under Trump & GOP Congress have forced immigrant neighbors to live in fear. No CaGov should work w/ them until they do.
I asked incoming state Senate Minority Leader @RogerNiello @SenRogerNiello (R-Fair Oaks) about his message to the next California governor - either @XavierBecerra (D-CA) or @SteveHiltonx (R-CA).
“Work with us,” said Niello. “Work with the legislature with both parties…Whether it’s Mr. Hilton or Mr. Becerra — either way I can work with either one of them and I look forward to it.”
Niello added he’s confident @CAGOP will pick up seats in the legislature in 2026 and 2028.

I'm calling on lenders to quickly and fairly release insurance proceeds for homeowners impacted by the LA firestorms.
Companies that unlawfully delay or deny access to insurance funds will be subject to state enforcement.
Survivors need relief now.

Since 2019, California Farm to School has reached nearly 3 million students, expanding access to fresh, locally sourced, organic, and increasingly regenerative meals while supporting farmers and strengthening communities across the state.
