Two years ago this was a wheat field. This summer somebody counted 5,290 butterflies on it.
It's Halnaker Hill Farm near Chichester in West Sussex, England. That ground was farmed for wheat for about 40 years. After the last harvest in 2024 they sowed it with wildflowers, planted over 20,000 trees and about four miles of hedgerow, and dug three ponds.
Then butterfly expert Neil Hulme walked the 330 acres counting. He found 28 kinds, including the small blue, the tiniest butterfly in the UK, and the dingy skipper. Neither one had ever been recorded on that farm before.
The small blue is about the size of your fingernail, and it can find its favorite plant, kidney vetch, from a long way off. Even the experts didn't expect it to show up this soon.
Plant the flowers and they come. God built this world to heal faster than we think.

Touched grass today out under Gods open sky with the mountains all around starting to show their vibrant fall colors. Lots of bling ,rhinestones, glitter & good horses. Families enjoying thier Sunday afternoon and girls who laughed so hard they peed. ( they had back up jeans 😂but sheer joy was so good to see) Handsome cowboys on spirited horses doing handsome cowboy things. My candy apple hunt failed but the true sadness was not getting the 2 for 6$ corn dogs and now I’m hungry. In any case, the river runs deep out in the world and what you see online is a small slice, possibly a poisoned one. Tonight as I snuggle under my covers the first woodsmoke of the year is wafting through the trees a sign of crackling fires in heaths as we plunge into the Holiday season .
I’ll say a prayer tonight giving thanks for so much & that the hand of God will guide those working tirelessly to help us keep it.

Every collapsing order produces the movement that replaces it. The Whigs had the Republicans. Europe's old parties had the outsiders who swept them aside.
This time the old order is the whole two-party system, and the people building what replaces it are pulling from the left, the right, and everyone in between.

In the 1850s, one of America's two major parties collapsed. The Whigs couldn't hold their coalition together, couldn't solve the crisis tearing the country apart, and couldn't stop splitting into factions.
In 1854, a brand-new party formed out of the wreckage. Six years later, that new party put Abraham Lincoln in the White House. It was called the Republican Party.

Imagine a Congress you could actually trust. Twelve-year term limits, so nobody makes a career out of it. A total ban on members trading stocks. Pay tied to results, so the only way to get rich in Congress is to be great at the job. Short bills written in plain English, one subject at a time.
