Congratulations on your much deserved victory. Now, the important business of my meal times: I like breakfast at 10, lunch at 11, dinner at 3. And 5. And 7. Plenty of snacks in between. Get that right and the rest of your job is a doddle.

Only in Ireland.....
It was a case of 'strictly come counting' in Kerry last night. Independent Dan McCarthy and supporters celebrated his re-election on the final count in the Kenmare electoral area with a line dance. #Elections2024 #LE24 🕺

Our inimitable, much-loved @UL colleague, Donal Ryan has a new book, 'Heart, be at Peace' coming soon! We couldn't be prouder. (Also: students, note the vocative comma).
Some things can send a heart spinning; others will crack it in two… 🍃 We are thrilled to announce Heart, be at Peace, the stunning, lyrical new novel by multi-award-winning author Donal Ryan. In a small town in rural Ireland, the local people have weathered the storms of economic collapse and are looking towards the future. The jobs are back, the dramas of the past seemingly lulled, and although the town bears the marks of its history, new stories are unfolding. But a fresh menace is creeping around the lakeshore and the lanes of the town, and the peace of the community is about to be shattered in an unimaginable way. Praise for Donal Ryan: ‘You have to truly love people to write like this’ Rachel Joyce ‘A master storyteller’ @KitdeWaal ‘One of my favourite writers’ @DavidNWriter ‘Inimitable’ Maggie O’Farrell ‘A life-enhancing talent’ Sebastian Barry Pre-order here: linktr.ee/heartbeatpeace

A very sad day indeed. I was privileged to have met Benjamin many years ago and was utterly mesmerised from the moment he started talking. Rest in peace.
We're deeply saddened by the loss of Benjamin Zephaniah, a pioneering Dub Poet and Author whose energy, vibe, and unapologetic work paved the way for Black British Writers. We're forever grateful for his contributions and commitment. He’s legacy will live on forever. /1
