@POTUS @UN @JoeBiden @NATO @RishiSunak @vonderleyen @SecBlinken URGENT: A United Nations Peacekeeping Force must be sent immediately to Gaza on the proviso that all IDF troops permanently withdraw to Israeli territory so hostages can be released and a diplomatic solution agreed.

@northumbriapol @sainsburys On 2nd August, I was involved in preventing a shoplifter at Sainsbury’s Local, East Boldon. Today at 19.30 and 21.50 I suspect there were another two instances of shoplifters targeting the same store and fare dodging on the Metro towards S/land. -

It appears this store is being constantly targeted by shoplifters using the Metro and has now reached epidemic levels. The answer is either for plain clothes police officers to be embedded in store or for Sainsbury’s to cut their losses, relocate staff and close it altogether.

No more taxes to pay for this incompetence 👉 xitter.cf/afneil/status/20907026…
The UK borrowed another £1.8bn last month, taking the national debt to within a whisker to £2.985tn in July. I thought it would pass £3 trillion this summer. That will now happen in the autumn. The main drivers of more borrowing were welfare and pension payments, which rose 7.2% (£2bn) to £30bn last month. The cost of debt service, at £7.7bn in July, was almost 10% higher than a year ago. Four months into the 2026/27 financial year and the government has borrowed almost £57bn, a bit more than the official forecast YTD. July’s figures yet another reason to brace for hefty tax rises in the October Budget.

The huge problem with many @UKLabour MP’s is they don’t understand the hardworking taxpayer and business owner who are too busy to talk about their everyday concerns, unlike the whingers, moaners, fake victims and unemployed benefit claimants who constantly have their ear.

@KiMcGuinness - 2 days (Sunday & Monday) over a Bank Holiday weekend without any Metro trains from South Hylton to Airport. Saturday May 2nd, overcrowded Metro’s due to lack of train drivers and an infrequent service. Wasn’t the Mayoral system supposed to prevent these things ?

@Ruby_Walsh - You are the go to man when common sense opinions about horse racing are needed. But the idea of a rolling tape start is nonsense as there’s no need for a tape to start races ? All that’s needed is a Starter with a flag, common sense and good communication skills.

The problem with Cheltenham Festival starts every year since Robbie Supple became the Starter, is the Starter, Robbie Supple.

Constitution Hill is too good a horse even for @sevenbarrows to school over hurdles. He has nothing left to prove over obstacles, so why tempt fate when there’s so much excitement, fun and enjoyment to be had for everyone involved in racing by pursuing a career on the flat.

Donald Trump has been busy making deals. Not for you. Not for the country. For himself. I'm heading to talk about the Art of the Deal – and how Trump's corruption hurts all of us. xitter.cf/i/broadcasts/1gqxvjbqO…

Newcastle United win their first trophy for 56 years and has no one asked the great @thegazza_ his opinion about this historic victory ?

On 2nd thoughts you seem relatively quiet compared to the lunatic Chapman yelling and bawling at connections in the winner’s enclosure.

A message to @realDonaldTrump from Stornaway 👉
Stornoway, Island of Lewis, birthplace of the late Mrs Mary Anne Trump. As they say in the Western Isles, when you’ve lost Stornoway, you’ve lost the country. (Thanks DJ MacSween)

China is ready for "any type of war" with the United States @realDonaldTrump ! Will America fight alone or invoke Article 5 of the @NATO treaty to ask friends and allies to assist in the defence of an attack on democracy. 👉bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c4gm…

Well done @kaitlancollins ! Keep up the great work. 👉
Trump hates intelligent questions because he has no answers. So he starts insulting reporters and their news organizations. No wonder he bankrupted his businesses. Kudos to Kaitlan Collins for ignoring him and persisting with follow-up questions.

Is this true @BBCsarahsmith ? 👉
What a terrible take on Zelenskyy & Trump by @BBCsarahsmith implying that Zelenskyy is somehow to blame for making Trump angry & that he should have eaten "humble pie." What a truly dire take from the #BBC & what is meant to be one of their leading correspondents.
