Anthropic Q3 revenue: $17bn. More in one quarter than in the whole H1 ($16.3bn) ๐คฏ
Compute up to 58% of revenue from 48% in Q2, but far from 72% in Q1.
Take out the share donations (no cash) and the operating result is +$1.4bn. Strip all non-cash items and it's +$2.25bn net in Q3. And $6.6bn of operating cash in 9 months.
Tanta roba. Now the game is buying compute at a good price.
๐ฎ๐ฉ Great Bloomberg investigation on Indonesia's "fried stocks", shares pumped with fake trading.
161 stocks in the Jakarta index had one broker doing 40%+ of the trading. KOSPI 2. S&P 500 zero.
What bothers me is the mindset: tricking the market at the expense of an entire country's trust.
They are pricing the pivot
โ๏ธ Google Cloud doubled. Shares fell 13%.
$GOOG trades at ~16x EBITDA.
Is Wall Street missing the AI upside, or pricing the risks correctly?

Private equity has a new act of God: AI ๐ค
In some new buyout loans, if the company doesn't pay the interest and says it's because of AI, lenders have to wait. Same as for a hurricane or Covid.
But Covid finished at some point. AI, when? ๐ค
As a lender I would think twice ;-)

In Italia ci sono 300.000 cinesi, 170.000 indiani, 153.000 filippini e 350.000 sudamericani. Nessuno di questi ha difficoltร di adattamento. Nessuno di questi va in piazza a sfasciare le vetrine.
๐ฎ๐น Italians: "Not perfection, but a personal way of imagining the world and the courage to transform it into something amazing."
That's what we've been chasing for centuries, in art, food, music, cars. Not the perfect thing, but our thing.
The line is from "The Italian Excellence Code", the new Lamborghini series with Stefano Accorsi, in the episode on opera.
And it works far beyond Italy. In business too, the ones who win aren't the most perfect. They have their own idea and the guts to build it.

So true and itโs awesome.
Andreessen's framework for why Elon is essentially unbeatable:
You have to go back to the late 1800s and early 1900s โ Ford, Carnegie โ to find founders who operated this way.
Carnegie didn't just build steel. He owned the iron ore mines, the railroads, the coke ovens. By 1900 he controlled ~25% of US steel output. Ford didn't just build cars โ he owned rubber plantations, glass factories, and 16 million acres of timberland by the 1920s.
The pattern Andreessen identifies is the same one playing out now: a single leader who simultaneously runs multiple capital-intensive industries, where each company becomes infrastructure for the next.
Tesla needs batteries โ Elon builds the battery supply chain. SpaceX needs avionics โ Elon builds the avionics. X needs satellite internet โ Starlink already exists.
Most conglomerates are financial portfolios. This is vertical integration at civilizational scale.
The reason quarterly-driven rivals can't respond: they'd have to spin up entire industries from scratch to match capabilities Elon has been compounding for 20 years.
Carnegie's advantage took decades and the Sherman Antitrust Act to slow down. The historical parallel isn't flattering to competitors.
Reading this piece on The Economist today made me think: AI compute is becoming a commodity. Today it's an opaque market of middlemen and long contracts that nobody knows if will be honoured.
But look at Luxor, a startup trying one of the first swaps on compute, the classic tool of commodity finance. The operator fixes a price per server per hour. If the market price goes down, Luxor pays the difference. If it goes up, the operator pays. Same as airlines do with fuel โ๏ธ
Next step: futures on the big exchanges where oil and wheat are traded, CME in Chicago and ICE. Then compute trades like oil or gas.
For who lends money to data centers, this changes a lot ๐
Demand for processing oomph has surged, and it is in short supply. For all its impressive size, however, the compute market lacks sophistication economist.com/finance-and-ecโฆ

Today we announce 1Password for Agents platform, building with companies @Muse, SpaceX Super Intelligence Grok @Bot, @AnthropicAIโs @Claudeai, @OpenAI, @TownAI, @Browserbase, @Browser_use, @heydana_ai, Instinct, @usekernel, @Perplexity_ai, @tryramp, @Tomo, and @wajo_ai, with more integrations on the way. ๐
We've heard from so many of our customers who want to use these new personal AI agents to help them get more done, but want more control over what the agent can access with the same trust and ease of use they get when using 1Password directly.
1Password for Agents gives your agents access without giving up your passwords. When an agent reaches a sign-in form, it requests a credential from your vault. If you approve the request, 1Password directly auto-fills the credential in the destination site so the agent canโt see or take possession of the credentials.
The agent gets the task done, but it doesnโt get your passwords..
You stay in control. 1Password for Agents free and optional for personal and family accounts. Unless you opt-in to an agent connector, agents cannot touch your vault.
