GP practices should be urgently freed up to focus on the patients who need them most, and step up delivery of #CovidVaccine to quickly protect as many as possible from #Omicron. Time for @NHSEngland and @DHSCgovuk to trust & support practices and suspend QOF micromanagement

Retired doctor screws former colleagues by spewing daily mail headlines whilst trying to look credible. I want to tell you what I really think of him but even I have too much class for that.
Why UK has Cavid cases & deaths so high? Obvious reason seems; 1)GPs are not accessed easily. 2)GP Receptionists tell patients with cough/fever to go away & ring 119. 3)GPs do fast phone consultations+ rare body examination, after wait. 4)Doctors get same salary if work by phone.

What's the point doing the poll and then holding the results back. Need not have bothered.

Wtaf?! Come on BMA, where is the leadership?! You’d given me a brief glimpse of why I “might” want to consider paying a subscription… This does nothing to have me reaching for that DD..

Having a domestic abuse refuge in your catchment area too (child residents v often missing vaccines due to fleeing abuse). Punishing practices caring for the most vulnerable…

The PCN DES enshrines working at scale so I suspect there is a difference emerging between independent practices and large group practices in favour of a more corporate approach. Maybe 52:48 is the new pareto 🤔
They made a pledge. On top of that I start to wonder whether we have a new BMA GPC chair right now because the GPC were split down the middle!!!! @DrFJameel @CNagpaul @rvautrey

Yep. That’s what I am learning. I wish it had been explained though, also they probably shouldn’t have said that they were going to release the results if this was the plan all along.

Indeed……..I do on the whole trust the LMC - nice that they get an update but GPs on the other hand often pay the BMA for what exactly?

Do LMCs get a special secret update? Can this be shared with coal faced GPs? Unless of course it could be detrimental to negotiations. Some of us simply don’t trust LMCs?

I have come round to this way of thinking. Ned time…a clear message from the GPC that they have been received and are being analysed, but it would be unwise to release the results just yet would go a long way. Maybe this has been said and I just haven’t read it?

I am curating the LMC update right now, what would you like me to say. I’ve tried to capture the overarching sentiment I’ve read on here. Will do my best to stay transparent and accountable.

Publishing results immediately without the opportunity to analyse them wouldn’t be a very effective way of proceeding. These are a negotiating tool and giving that away immediately wastes the opportunity. They will be published by why throw away a lever?

No that’s not correct. We were told we would get the results. Perhaps colleagues are entitled to that pledge being fulfilled AND see if they are alone in their feelings OR whether we have a collective shared experience and voice.

Hang on, surely the right way to use an indicative ballot result is to inform next steps and strategy? Genuinely interested in hearing further views on this.

Quite astonishing isn’t it? Do they understand just a little bit or not. OR is this about individuals pulling themselves up the ladder. It is NOT good enough. A bit like Sleazegate & the Tories! @DrFJameel

Filling in the questionnaire has caused significant debate and real conflict within practices. To find out that it is not being released is disappointing. Reading the press statement gives me the impression that this was a committee decision. Who really runs the GPC?
