Found the odd green ones, however harvest has ended. Disastrous? No. Disappointed? Slightly. Highlight, the first true second wheat for many years. Winter beans managed 5tph, best to date, spring ones 2.65tph, huge improvement over the last two years.
BT, please explain why you continue to take payments from our account, yet refuse to either offset monies due or pay the refund outstanding for over a year? #thievingb’stards
It’s around 5.45 am, the wheels have been turning for around half an hour. We’ve cut beans at this time but can’t really get over the fact this is wheat😳.
7.00 am straw😎. What did I just say? Harvest 26, the one the next generation will talk about for years!
In a normal year we would stop harvesting at this moisture! However this is definitely not a normal year!
Miracle crop of the year, spring beans, still hanging on despite the weather 😳. The question is will they come to harvest ahead of the maize?
A417 Missing Link. Anyone travelling northbound towards Gloucester/M5. Unless you really have to, avoid the construction site. Absolute nightmare right now, and for some time I suspect. You could easily add an hour to your journey.
One of the best articles I’ve ever read about the ‘D’ word. I echo Ben’s thoughts and comments. (Sorry he doesn’t share our enthusiasm for livestock). Sadly his concluding paragraph sums up how undervalued our profession has become.
Pre heatwave shot of our spring beans. Next Sunday I’ve a feeling they’ll look very different 😬. Genius from npz, a new variety for us. #npz
