Europe's energy future must be secure, connected & resilient.
At the meeting w/@GerAmbLT, I highlighted the importance of deeper 🇱🇹🇩🇪cooperation & the strategic role of the Nordic-Baltic Hydrogen Corridor in keeping the Baltic region fully integrated into Europe's energy system.
Met with Dutch Ambassador Caecilia Wijgers to discuss Lithuania’s EU Council Presidency priorities:
ending Europe’s dependence on Russian energy, strengthening energy security, & protecting critical infrastructure.

Last week, over 253 tonnes of critical energy equipment from Lithuania reached two Ukrainian regions.
The assistance included three power transformers for the Khmelnytskyi region, as well as a 200 MVA autotransformer with 76 pieces of auxiliary equipment for Ukraine’s transmission system operator, Ukrenergo.
The equipment will help strengthen Ukraine’s transmission and distribution networks and support repairs to infrastructure damaged by russian attacks.
Thank you to our Lithuanian partners, AB Energijos Skirstymo Operatorius (ESO) and Blue/Yellow, for their valuable contribution to Ukraine’s energy resilience.

🇱🇹 already provided millions of € in energy support — from transformers & generators to solar panels & batteries.
And we’re not stopping. Another package of critical energy equipment is being prepared to help Ukraine face the winter ahead.
This summer, thanks to the support of our partners from 27 countries, Ukrainian regions received over 2,333 tonnes of energy equipment from the Ministry of Energy hubs.
Every power transformer, generator, and switch provided helps energy workers restore facilities damaged by russian attacks and build up additional generation capacity ahead of winter.
