The online system yes will allow us first to have the actual numbers in a short space time.Secondly, it requires addresses and contact details for appointments, processing will still require them to present themselves to Refugees Centre. it collects biometrics of all applicants and will allow us to know more information about the individual before they present themselves physically for quick turnaround on a decision of the Application. Remember once rejected, you can’t do multiple applications anymore.
I hope I have clarified the online system process and what we are hoping to achieve
The IMC said DHA will develop an online platform through which people intending to apply for asylum can register their intention and receive a receipt containing their particulars, biometric information, reference number and appointment at a Refugee Reception Office.

News24 must be held accountable. If you believe its coverage of Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma has crossed the line from journalism into a targeted smear campaign, lodge a formal complaint with the Press Ombud.
We cannot demand accountability from politicians while giving media houses a free pass. Freedom of the press does not mean freedom from public scrutiny.

ATTACK THE MESSAGE? OR DISCREDIT THE MESSENGER?
I promised myself I would never dignify anything published by @News24 with a formal response. But its hit piece on Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma demands one.
Let me be clear: this is not an endorsement of Jacinta or the March and March movement per se. It is a defence of her right, as much as mine and that of every other South African, to hold this government to account on issues about which we feel passionately.
What the editors at News24, huddled around their editorial cauldron, concocting the latest batch of ideological gruel to serve their readers, appear to have missed is one rather inconvenient fact: Jacinta's message resonates with millions of South Africans. And not one of them seems remotely interested in asking the most obvious question of all: Why?
Instead, we are served a steaming bowl of hyperbole, histrionics and emotionally charged sound bites. Anything, it seems, to avoid confronting the substance of the discontent.
So let us strip away the theatrics and get to the heart of the matter.
This government has, from the outset, abdicated its responsibility to serve the best interests of the South African people. And the government we have today - the entire political establishment, not merely one party or faction - has become a malignant mass, a festering cancer on the body politic.
The real story isn't that Jacinta is saying things that make News24 uncomfortable. It's that millions of South Africans are listening - because, after decades of broken promises, corruption, incompetence and political indifference, they have every reason to be angry.
And perhaps that is the question News24 should be asking itself: not why Jacinta is speaking, but why so many South Africans feel she is worth listening to.
Doxxing Jacinta, threatening her, and attempting to portray her as dangerous, as though she herself represents the problem in South Africa, is an exercise in creative deflection.
It is far easier to vilify the messenger than confront the message. Far easier to intimidate a citizen than answer the questions she is asking. And far easier to manufacture a public enemy than acknowledge the failures of those who actually hold power.
When the spotlight falls on the messenger rather than the message, ask yourself what, exactly, they are trying to distract you from.

ADRIAAN BASSON, WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT ACCOUNTABILITY.
You say Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma is “NOT above the law” and hold her directly responsible for threats against your journalist.
Death threats are unacceptable. Full stop.
But here's the uncomfortable question:
When News24 exposed Twatterbaas, you defended the decision to identify him.
Now you're demanding accountability from Jacinta.
So who holds YOU accountable, Adriaan?
Who decides when exposing someone is legitimate journalism and when it crosses the line?
Who scrutinises the people who scrutinise everyone else?
You cannot appoint yourself the watchdog of South Africa and then act surprised when the public turns the watchdog's eyes on you.
Journalists are not above scrutiny. Editors are not above criticism. And News24 does not own the moral high ground by default.
If accountability is your standard, apply it to yourself.
NO SACRED COWS. NOT EVEN IN THE MEDIA.

South Africa cannot remain a consumer market while value, profits and jobs leak out of local communities and the Country.
In mobile devices, repair & accessories, our response is localisation: skills, SMMEs, ownership, formal value chains and reinvestment.
We must move from consumption → participation → ownership.

Today is not really about launching containers.
It is about proving that when we combine skills + tools + infrastructure + market access + ongoing support, South African young people can build sustainable businesses.
Getting ready for the SAMDDRA–W&R SETA launch this morning.
The early results are encouraging. Now the question is: how do we scale?
