If you remember nothing else today, remember Ciara's words:
"In a world where thereβs so much hardship and sadness and hatred being spread... I choose to see the good people and there are so many of them..β

Ciara Mageean died this morning. A light has gone out in the world. Authentic, talented, decent. Her kindness and wonderful personality was a joy to watch and see. Then came her iconic sporting achievements.
When we sat down with Ciara for the GAA Social in July, she received disappointing news the day before. Ciara didnβt want to cancel, so we recorded on the Tuesday. Itβs 90 minutes Oisin & myself will always treasure. She was the best of us.
To Thomas, Iβm so sorry. She was mad about you. To the Mageean family, all her great friends and the Portaferry community- what a stunning human being, to call one of your own. This is so unfair.
Iβve never met a person who met Ciara, who didnβt love her. A one off.

EMERGENCY IN TIPPERARY ππππ
This poor horse was found severely emaciated, with a serious leg injury, abandoned in a bog and left to die.ππππ‘π‘π‘π‘
He is microchipped and appears to be a French trotter. Sadly, horses like him can be used for sulky racing and, when they are no longer considered useful, some are simply discarded. This beautiful animal was left suffering, weak and alone in horrific weatherπππ‘π‘π‘
We travelled two hours to get to him and save his life. Thanks to the local people, ESB workers and the Thurlez An Garda SΓochΓ‘na who helped us today we are incredibly grateful for your assistance.
We are now on our way to UCD Veterinary Hospital in Dublin with him, where we hope he can receive the urgent veterinary treatment he desperately needs.β€οΈβ€οΈ
Please donate if you can. animals all over Ireland are suffering and desperately need help.
Even a small donation can make a difference. Please share this post too getting it in front of the right people could help save his life.

Heartbreaking to watch. Well done Eric Roberts π Your genuine passion shone to help shone through. @VirginMedia_TV
"When someone like OisΓn comes into your lives, it brings you all together and brings you all much closer.β
Eric explains how his nephew OisΓn, who has cerebral palsy and autism, inspired him to work as an SNA.
From the challenges that kept him awake at night to the moments that made it all worthwhile, he reflects on the impact the role had on his life.

Remember Hoops fan Ailish?
Last November, Ailish Fanning won our Lotto jackpot and pledged to use her winnings to follow our captain Pico Lopes and Cape Verde at the World Cup.
Wellβ¦ she only went and did it! βοΈπ¨π»
Ailish, Michael and Mark travelled to Atlanta, Miami and Houston to cheer on Pico and Cape Verde on the biggest stage of all with their Johnstown Hoops flag flying!
A Lotto win, a promise kept, and a story they'll be telling for years.
