Jesus does not force Himself upon you: He stands at the door and waits for you to open it yourself. It is a personal choice: you decide whether to let Him into your life. Fellowship and peace: if you open the door, He enters to share a meal with you. An invitation to intimacy: sharing a meal together signifies friendship, connection, and trust. Opening the door therefore means making Him a part of your daily life, with all its wonderful and difficult moments. Yes, Jesus wants you to come to Him. Jesus does not want you to be lost in the judgment that is soon to come. Jesus’s well-known statement, "Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest," is found in the Bible in Matthew 11:28. 2 Peter 3:9 states that God (and Jesus) is long-suffering and patient, because He does not want anyone to perish, but wants everyone to come to repentance. The value of the soul: in Mark 8:36, Jesus states that possessing the whole world does not outweigh the loss of one's life. The Apostle Paul says in Romans 10:9: "If your mouth confesses that Jesus is Lord and your heart believes that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
