Here's the thing: people insist Roo hasn't been introduced because they expect someone within the show to explicitly point at her & say, β€œLook, this is Roo.” But there are MANY ways to introduce a character, & people seem to confuse an introduction with foreshadowing. +

Take Rosie in the pilot, for example. We see her painting over the sign of her Emporium, either above or next to a sign bearing her name. THAT is a character introduction. We know that's Rosie without someone having to roll out the red carpet +

& announce, β€œThis is Rosie!” A character doesn't need a formal introduction to be introduced to the audience. That's what people wanted with Roo, & why some insist she hasn't been introduced when, in fact, she has.

>The show shows two figures while talking about good and evil, but never hints at what they are. Charlie literally says Heaven has been worshiping Good (shows Good) & shielding everyone from Evil (shows Evil). That's using explicit visual language to tell who Good & Evil are.
Replying to @lutesaurus
The show shows two figures while talking about good and evil, but never hints at what they are. They could be actual entities, or just visualizations symbolizing virtuousness and corruption. It's entirely up to interpretation, unless you already have a reason to suspect a god +

β€œWhy are you saying Jessica soft-confirmed the theory twice? She only acknowledged it!” Okay, acknowledging a theory would be giving it a thumbs-up. Jessica requoted the theory & responded with a 😈. Let's not pretend we don't understand how implication & subtext work. +

This is what I mean when I say people are grasping at straws to dismiss these interactions. Let's not pretend we don't understand what these gestures communicate. Whether you like it or not is irrelevant. Jessica soft-confirmed the theory twice.

Then there's her interview where she literally stated that Lute is "not who we think she is." 🀷

I now definitely believe Roo is Lute's Adam hallucination, now that Viv confirmed that she can mask / shapeshift.

Okay, but I want to point something out: notice how little Roo has actually appeared in the show, yet look at how much Viv has already talked about her. There's still much we don't know about her. Now, compare that to Lute, someone we've consistently seen since S1 +

& whose deal we (supposedly) already know. It's not something in narrative is trying to hide. Yet, Viv speaks VERY little about her, even deleted the one thread she made about her on Bluesky, & every time Jessica talks about Lute, she stresses that she can't spoil anything. +

β€œIt's so annoying how much Viv spoils her own show.” 🫩🫩🫩 It's your fault for failing to pick up on the obvious narrative clues being laid out for you. Roo isn't some obscure piece of lore exclusive to Patreon or random Q&As. The show itself tells us who & what she is.

β€œIt’s just my opinion that she’s talking too much about her.” If the subject matter in question isn't a goddamn spoiler, then there's no problem with how much Viv talks about her. Christ.

Roo is possessing the Overlords and granting them power in exchange for their humanity, commitment to Her, and devotion to do her evil bidding & spread her evil to the masses. (READ) Vox & Alastor are servants for Roo, whether they realize it or not. They were selected in life.
From the Collider Interview with Vivenne Medrano: -Roo isn't a real person, she's an entity that doesn't have one identity. She manipulates, masks, and will operate in her own unique way -Roo isn't going to be a character anyone expects, can't reveal what she is+ #HazbinHotel

I suspect the storybook is unreliable in not only its narration, but the visuals. Specifically, the Eve'a silhouette may not actually resemble her. I'm NOT suggesting Eve was literally replaced by an impostor during the events themselves, only that the storybook we're +

β€œWell, why would they show Roo’s silhouette as Eve?” Because the storybook is Charlie’s interpretation of what Lilith & Lucifer have told her. We're seeing THEIR version of events, so of course they're going to portray themselves in the best possible light. +

& if my other theory about Roo having made a deal with them is true (perhaps to conceive Charlie), that could explain why the storybook presents a distorted version of Eve in the first place.
