Crypto lending is suffering from a collateral crisis. We’ve basically consumed all crypto-collateral demand for loans. This is why every lender (from mid-size e.g. FiRM to large e.g. Aave and Maker) is forced to accept higher-risk collaterals to continue to grow e.g. custodial, regulatory, freezing risks to name a few.
The $100 billion question is whether this risk-adjusted yield is currently positive, something we’re yet to find out. The fundamental problem still stands anyway: we need new better collateral options OR to find better ways to derisk or hedge against the new risk of the new collaterals and few seem to focus on both

The vulnerability in lovSky vaults allowed orders to be submitted directly to CoW Swap, bypassing the intended order flow 🥷
While no user funds were at risk, pending rewards could've been captured by an attacker.
On July 9, a vulnerability was identified by @schlagonia and our long-term security partner @electisec, affecting pending epoch rewards in Origami’s lovSky vaults.
Please note:
💠 No user funds, nor epoch rewards were lost.
💠 User deposits were never at risk (just harvested rewards of $1-2k per epoch)
TL;DR of the vulnerability:
Origami uses programmatic CoW Swap orders to optimize execution and vault returns.
The issue allowed external actors to potentially bypass the intended order submission flow and send orders directly to the CoW SDK. This means that a hypothetical attack could have captured pending epoch rewards. This vector had not been identified in previous audits.
In response to the disclosure, the CoW integration contracts were paused. A patch was developed, reviewed by @electisec and deployed prior to the announcement of SKY+.
We're grateful to @schlagonia and @electisec for the responsible disclosure and collaboration.
A full re-audit was commissioned with @electisec as an extra precaution. No further issues were found. The full security review is available below 👇
