as I am launching tomorrow, I wont really be able to build too much in public. I have never, ever stolen someone else's idea, but somehow the ideas I have, other people reproduce and benefit from commercially. I would like that to end. no depth or nuance of the how and who of distribution will ever be shared, just updates I am comfortable feeding to competitors. love u bye

Always this.
A mistake I've seen quite a few people make is assuming that being overly earnest and scrappy earns you brownie points. It's actually detrimental in the vast majority of cases.

Incredible
It's not hard to see why James Talarico pulled off a landslide as a Democrat in Texas. Just look at his campaign materials. S-tier operation.

An act of self sabotage I’ve not been able to pull off myself. Bravo Australian Government!!!! (Yes this is the first Labor Anti-government tweet I’ve ever made!)
In a randomised trial, software developers using AI took 19% longer to complete tasks. Yet they believed AI had made them 20% faster. At the ‘Evidence in Action’ event, I argued for a government that tests what works, and saves money by learning from the results. ministers.treasury.gov.au/mi… #randomistas
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The 19%/20% figures are from a July 2025 METR study of experienced open-source developers using early-2025 AI tools, which the authors describe as an outdated snapshot; a 2026 follow-up found some evidence for speedup with newer tools. metr.org/blog/2025-07-1… metr.org/blog/2026-02-2… arxiv.org/abs/2507.09089

Nearly all programs for women in tech lead women to believe a 'skills issue'. Programs are developed, called absolutely ridiculous names and 'networks' are born. Men, in contrast do not need these. They are not born with a B2B SAAS gene. It is, and always was a systemic issue.

TIME TO ROLL THIS SHIT SHOW BACK
Women’s equality, specifically in the tech industry is going to do double backflips this year - in reverse. Less funding, less opportunities. The bro discourse about cancelling DEI and ‘woke culture’ is going to infect the minds of decision makers.

I TOLD YOU SO!!!!!!!!!
Women with power - which is all women, are rising. Some are still supporting old structures because they think they can feed on ancient structures and power - it benefited them once. These structures are crumbling and new laws (of the universe) are forming.

Almost a year since this
All the people - men and women - in Aus tech who attributed power, status, intelligence, ‘traditional’ values or sound fiscal policy decision making to their favourite pedophile need to have their hard drives searched immediately.

I LOVE that only men have liked this 🤣 Ya’ll are the best 💚💚

most accurate thread on gtm I’ve read in a while
GTM has become this hot hire when all you need to be good at GTM is the ability to tolerate hours of monotonous tasks and rejection until you find a single source of arbitrage. Then you automate and scale it as quickly as possible until you tap out and move on

please please please
Scott Colom has picked up 100 more votes as of 8:18pm and now has a 1964 vote lead since yesterday. It will continue to grow. This race is over.

Australians are so behind - calling people retards, using trans people as a vehicle for their own entitled rage, overt support of racist clowns, sexually harassing women, supporting pedophiles - This era of tolerating and placating is over. Receipts will be posted. You will be called out. Any ‘power’ you think you have that will protect you - even that of being a man, is obsolete. We are no longer shrugging shoulders and being tolerant towards anyone who subverts their own and others humanity so they could revel in their prejudices and entitlement to be abusive. Gone.

The hopescrolling doesn’t stop 😭😭😭
Scott Colom would’ve been a lifetime federal judge in Mississippi if Cindy Hyde-Smith hadn’t blocked his confirmation - freeing him to very possibly defeat her in the Senate race.

To live with this much heart is an option.
Must watch: Meet Chuck Hubbard, who is set to defeat Virginia Foxx in a safe Trump +18 district in North Carolina. Just a normal guy, he decided to run for office to stand up for his LGBTQ daughter and defend her rights in Trump’s America.

A perfect example of men in tech in Australia... apparently if you ask the comparison between being a sexual predator and wiping your hands on a ... flag... you are a 'retard'.

The other great thing about this wave of aspirational politicians entering the senate (and the house), is that there is finally leaders worth learning from, and looking up to. Something that has been missing for me for a long time. Write up's in Forbes Australian Top 100 Young Rich list have to list out sexual assault claims and 'quietly settled' in their bio's. We've lacked ethical, values driven leaders for a long time.
