Back in the 80s, our tracing machines could only draw black lines on animation cels. So, all the smoke in this scene was hand-traced onto the cels using real pens. I like to express my gratitude to everyone who created this scene, not just with inking and painting. HontaniT

Only thing I'll mention about 9/11 today since I don't see it mentioned as much: The search dogs got visibly stressed and actually lost morale from finding so many deceased people that workers would have to stage "successful rescues" (live people) for them. Man, my heart..
