I spent two days making a 44-second animated commercial for a dictation app I give away for free. 😂
Built with Claude Opus 5.5, using a ridiculous amount of custom scripting, Swift, and After Effects.
Somehow, it turned into an entire cartoon universe.
Here’s what I made.
I wish I could give @dbrand money for a Duo Grip case and get a clear delivery date outside of “Ships November.” Seems like a solid option based on what's out there. And I've worked with dbrand in the past, so I know they make great shit!
If you can only use two apps at once, simultaneously on your foldable, what are you even doing with yourself? Why are you even buying that crappy phone? What the hell is wrong with you? You have zero work ethic, zero attention span, and your life is absolute garbage. You should probably just give up and buy a different phone. 🙃
Okay @dominos we need to talk…
This is not iPhone Duo support. Sure, it fills out the screen in portrait, but when I'm using your app in landscape mode, it still looks like @pizzahut’s unoptimized layout. 🙃
This is misleading to a lot of users as they will think that this is what iPhone Duo support means. When in fact, this was just a lazy update. We didn't need anything special, just the bare minimum.
I was really looking forward to ordering your pizza as I was seeking out an app with Duo support just to do so. Just for fun lol.
I hate that I even have to make this post, but I really want to see better support here.
Also, I do think that Apple should hold the bar a little bit higher when developers make these kinds of claims.
Anyway, I was just trying to order a pizza. Which app do I pick? 😂🍕
Anyway, while we're all arguing about people using their hands, I made a free, open-source iPhone dictation keyboard (lefty mode included). Use whichever hand you want. 👉 keyvox.app
How is a Duo MagSafe wallet somehow a unicorn at launch? Everything is a pre-order. Apple (or anyone willing to risk it on dummy units/leaks) could have made boats of money. What happened?
Admission: I didn't add iPhone Duo design or interaction support into any of my apps for launch day. I just made sure that they weren't letterboxed.
This is all you had to do initially IMO.
Yes, that's a considerably lower bar than full foldable optimization, but it makes an enormous difference in how people perceive your app.
You get one impression and users may not ever come back.
People are going crazy over adhesive on iPhone Duo cases.
Who cares?
Apparently adhesive is acceptable when it's holding your $2,000 phone together (on the inside), but scandalous when it's holding a $70 case onto it.
It's not the end. I promise. Deal with it or buy something else. It's really not that hard.
My mission with KeyVox and dictation as a category has always been to make sure that communication does not come at the expense of accessibility, money, or privacy.
I've put in a lot of energy and work for a while now on that mission, but great local AI dictation is only the first goal. I'm one person with only so much experience and time; however, this is a mission that I truly believe in.
To push that mission forward, I'm really excited to announce that KeyVox for iOS now includes a full English predictive keyboard and emoji search. 🎉
Download on the App Store. It's free and open source.

So they made a car for Batman. Cool.
BREAKING: Tesla’s new Roadster just flew, pulling a barrel roll over a Tesla Semi.

"We call that the kickflip."
