The economics of quantum computing deserve more attention.
See below how incentives are likely to influence the winners of the quantum computing race.

Students are making six-figure college decisions with remarkably little individual guidance.
Meanwhile, AI is making the careers they're preparing for less predictable.
Could AI itself help students navigate those choices?
My latest essay explores that possibility, and an entrepreneur who's trying to make it happen.

“Not all escalators go up. Some actually go down.”
Jon Carson argues that college has become a riskier decision, especially for students taking on substantial debt without a clear career path.
College is one way to build a fulfilling future. It’s not the only way.
Is AI making it harder for young people to get their first job?
Stanford researchers found a 19% employment shortfall among workers aged 22–25 in AI-exposed occupations, relative to less-exposed peers.
Much of the weakness appears to reflect slower hiring rather than layoffs.
But the study doesn't establish that AI caused the shortfall.

1,010 studies of AI’s impact on jobs in just nine months.
That’s what former BLS Commissioner Erica Groshen told me in our recent interview. The results? “Different results all over the place.”
I’ve been collecting research and real-world evidence on how AI is changing productivity and employment.
Today I’m launching AI at Work | The Evidence, a series every two weeks examining what the research shows, where findings conflict, and what we still don’t know.
The first installment is below. 👇

@Strategy's mNAV fell from roughly 1.18 to 1.05 last week, as MSCI adopted rules that could exclude MSTR from its indexes on November 30 if it is classified as a non-operating company.
Is Strategy really a non-operating company?
It doesn't simply hold Bitcoin. It creates and sells digital credit, manages dividend obligations, raises capital and deploys it to buy more Bitcoin.
Other financial firms perform similar activities using fiat currencies.
These activities require innovation, judgment and execution.
If that isn't operating a business, what is?
