The poor attendance at Modern and Standard events is a symptom of a bigger issue: Wizards has fallen behind other TCGs when it comes to competitive Organized Play. Many players who are primarily interested in competition have simply moved to other games. You can still blame Commander to some extent, not because it’s inherently bad, but because it’s where Wizards has chosen to focus much of its attention instead of investing in competitive play.

My only criteria is that I wanted people with honor in the HoF. Honor for the game, the competition, their teammates, opponents and fans. I prioritized longer careers that lived through ups and downs
