REASONS I'M NOT HAVING KIDS, AND I'M NOT APOLOGIZING FOR IT: 1. I don't have billions of dollars sitting around waiting to be spent. 2. I don't want my entire life revolving around another human being. 3. I enjoy uninterrupted sleep, and I intend to keep enjoying it. 4. Kids are expensive, and I like spending my money on things I actually want. 5. I simply have no desire to become a parent. 6. I don't want the next 20+ years of my life revolving around raising someone. 7. I love being spontaneous. I don't want every little decision to require planning, scheduling and childcare. 8. I don't have the patience for constant noise, endless questions, tantrums and chaos. 9. I enjoy having free time without feeling guilty about it. 10. I like being able to travel, go out, change plans and do whatever I want without organizing my entire life around a child. 11. I don't want the responsibility of raising another human being just because society says that's the next step in life. 12. And honestly? Being child-free sounds like a pretty beautiful life to me. Not everyone dreams of becoming a parent, and that's perfectly okay. Having children is a choice, not an obligation. I'd rather be honest about what I want than bring a child into the world because of societal expectations. You don't need to have kids to have a meaningful, happy and fulfilling life.
