A funny moment with Rwanda's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Olivier Nduhungirehe. He playfully confronted me at the airport and I "apologised" for ambushing him. At one of the sessions at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meetings, President Kagame was scheduled to be my first respondents but had to attend an urgent bilateral. I asked the question & realized afterwards that Kagame was not in the plenary. Protocol says I should have gone to a different Head of State but the pressure! I saw the Minister and picked on him on a question meant for his President. He rose to the occasion and gave a brilliant answer on how to strengthen intra-Commonwealth trade and move it from the current $880 billion to the envisioned $2 trillion. Thank you Sir, for rescuing me!
