Magento 1 still powers many production stores.
If I remember correctly, around $2b/year still flows through them.
Anyone on Magento 1 who needs to quickly get their stores somehow secured against the php2shell - message me or @magebit. We'll find a way to help.
Most Magento merchants at Mage Camp had tried AI coding tools like Claude Code and Codex, and found them useful for prototypes but less reliable on complicated work.
Complicated is exactly where they need help:
- One wants to preview changes for everyone or just VIPs
- Another loses most of a day adding new products
Beauty supplies, gaming accessories, construction equipment. Different industries, same manual work in Magento.
A lot of it comes back to the CMS.

We created Magebit MCP as an open-source Magento 2 module that connects your store to an MCP-compatible AI agent.
What you can do with it depends on who's asking.

You decide what the agent touches.
Global read-only mode blocks write operations; write access has a global toggle and per-token permission; each tool has its own Magento ACL, and audit logs track activity with PII redacted.
