Go back to 2019. Tell a Knicks fan that Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving signing with Brooklyn was the best thing that ever happened to them.
Then tell them the Knicks passed on LeBron James. On purpose. And were right to do it.
Then tell them the team that said no to all of it went on to post a +283 playoff point differential, the best in NBA history. Better than the 2017 Warriors with four future Hall of Famers who went 16-1. The Knicks beat that by 53 points.
Nobody in 2019 believes a single word of that. Every bit of it happened.
