Great to see that politicians who have openly opposed genocide funded and armed by the US, have been re-elected in the US. Supporting an arms embargo and sanctions on Israel is politically favourable.
The Democratic Party’s Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar, the first two Muslim women to serve in the US Congress, have won re-election to the US House of Representatives aje.io/bgqyk6

British television shows me I am not alone in my fantasy of triumphantly solving a logic puzzle before a rapt audience.
Great review - struck by this quote from the book: “How would ideas endure without anyone to examine, share, and transmit them?”
Not even hiding the fact that they see women as consumer producers.
In the new @bookforum, I wrote about pro-natalism, the liberals who love it, and the rise of the childless woman as a symbol of decadence & object of contempt that stands in for a meaningful reckoning with motherhood's contradictions. bookforum.com/print/3102/bab…

Many of us focus on Palestinian children—and to a lesser extent Palestinian women—but Palestinian men have been dehumanised like no other group in Palestine. They have been killed, detained, tortured, raped, and treated like terrorists. It's beyond horrifying.

Every journalist should indeed condemn this, especially those of us whose government is arming and backing this.
After killing over 175 journalists in Gaza, Israel is now threatening and smearing 6 Al Jazeera journalists covering the carnage in northern Gaza. As @jeremyscahill says, every journalist should condemn these horrific attacks and call for their protection. Enough.

Heroic figures who’ve spent a year digging people out from under the rubble now being targeted and most likely dragged to torture chambers
Urgent: Civil Defense in Gaza:
- We have completely stopped our operations in North Gaza , and the situation there has become catastrophic, with citizens left without humanitarian services.
- Israeli occupation forces present in the Sheikh Zayed area have arrested 5 of our personnel and taken them to an unknown location.
- Israeli tanks targeted the only fire truck in the northern sector with shells and set it on fire.
- Three of our personnel who were targeted by an Israeli drone in the Beit Lahiya project have lost communication, and their fate is unknown.

These are the innocent souls who have survived over a year of endless bombardment, destruction and annihilation of their people, culture, homes, families and culture. They are now left to starve. While the world watches. The world has never had access to so much information. So much evidence. And done so little.
