Full credit to the leadership — both in appointments and in performance.
It is ultimately about placing the right person in the right position, with the right responsibility, and enabling them to deliver.
My gratitude to the MHA and the CRPF leadership, right down to the rank and file, for their commitment and contribution.
The present DGP has earned a reputation for able and hands-on leadership. He is known to plan meticulously, remain connected with the ground realities, strengthen intelligence inputs and take care of the force’s welfare on all counts.
The decline in Naxalism and terrorism is also a significant achievement, contributing to a stronger national security environment.
Leadership, professional commitment and the well-being of the force together make the difference.

“I am anguished to see what Indian tennis has come to.”
Kiran Bedi didn’t hold back 👀
The former IPS officer once represented Punjab as a junior tennis player, and recalled facing nepotism herself in those days.
“When a country stops producing champions, we must have the courage to look beyond performance and examine the system,” she wrote.
She called for merit, transparency and accountability in tennis administration, adding: “A nation cannot produce champions by rewarding connections over competence.”
Her post comes right after Dinesh Arora resigned as treasurer of the AITA Interim Executive Committee on ethical grounds.
A day earlier, he had stepped down as secretary general of the Punjab Lawn Tennis Association, where six district bodies have demanded an independent probe into alleged financial irregularities. The allegations are yet to be established.
With AITA elections due on November 27, there’s a lot riding on what comes next ⏳
