Hey friends. I’m reposting an old article from the July high beta sell-off. Some of the info is outdated, obviously, but I think the core argument of the article - knowing your strategy, or strategies, is very important. If you’re a short-term trader this price action has been horrible, trends have broken, chop, etc. I can see waiting for improvement before you go back to work.
If you’re a medium to long-term investor, I think you have to be looking at putting capital to work here, even if it’s not the absolute bottom. Check out the article and see if you find any value in it.
A lot about neoclouds on the timeline right now. Everyone debating their viability, financing, ROI (or lack thereof), etc… It’s been a bit exhausting. I’m an $IREN shareholder and it’s my largest position. Nothing has changed in my thesis, and I’m holding/adding to here and there.
With all of the banter and FUD in the neocloud space, I thought I’d offer something a bit different. The sell-off in AI infra names has presented a lot of opportunities in less speculative, but still high growth, names that have carried lofty valuations in the past. Here’s a list of a few names that I think present reasonable valuations and above average RR in the current market.
$CLS
$SMCI
$GLW
$VST
$VRT
$TTMI
These are certainly not the only companies out there right now that might pose attractive entries, but these are names that I have been watching closely and I think they have been de-risked and are offering much better entries during this sell-off. Which tickers am I missing? What would you add?
The real goat has spoken.
Right now, the market is only pricing in/focusing on hyperscaler demand for power and data centers. What about when enterprise demand ramps up? Those deals have the potential to be very juicy. Maybe going into ‘27-‘28 w/o all of your power committed to a hyper scaler is a good thing? $IREN
A lot of people on here think you have to choose between $VOO and chill and individual stocks. I’ve never understood that or deployed capital that way.
About 60 percent of my capital is deployed into a handful of index funds while the other 40 percent is deployed to high conviction ideas. The index portion of my portfolio takes care of guaranteed compounding and diversification, while the other forty percent allows me to concentrate in my high growth convictions.
I’ve been running this system for 6 1/2 years now and with annualized returns currently 17% (reflective of recent pullback).
The hybrid model allows me to reap the easy $VOO and chill returns, while also taking big swings that can transform my portfolio. Why do so many take a one or the other approach?
Glad I signed the document.
Just got told by Fidelity that I have to sign a document to buy more $NUAI, because it’s now a penny stock. Bottom signal. 😂

Listen, I know this is the 100th time we’ve heard an Iran deal is near. At this point, it’s a “I’ll believe it when I see it” proposition. With that said, the market will rip if/when it’s announced. Throw in the possibility of an Ukraine and Russia deal, big if, and the market explodes from here.
It might not win the midterms for republicans, but you don’t think Trump wants that ammunition to use? Despite some pretty terrible price action in many of my favorite names, I do not want to be underexposed here.
Unpopular opinion: it’s not a flex at all if you “called” short-term price action, unless you put on a trade to actually make money from it.
I think we should cut the pessimists and permabears a break. Isn’t the fact that they don’t get to participate in making any money punishment enough. Plus, they generally seem pretty unhappy.
Little quicker than I thought. Let’s make it interesting and push it to 661.
$QQQ gonna make a run at 704, then we’ll see from there. Have your shopping list ready. Pure conjecture.
