Last baseline increase that allowed me to do all that was an iron infusion (ferritin was 24, & iron 56) 2 months ago. Brain fog & migraines gone, fatigue better. Before that other baseline increases are LDA, immunosuppressant treatment, and midodrine. I am also on bisoprolol.

Brain Pressure in Long COVID
Do you ever feel like there is pressure deep inside your brain? Not necessarily a headache, but a fullness or heaviness or pressure sensation, often concentrated in the back of your head? I hear this repeatedly from patients. 🧵

Very happy for you. I’m also chasing the final bits of recovery & thought I’d give GLP1 a try (tirzeptide). I started at 1.25 and increased to 2.5 before I realized it was rapidly amplifying dysautonomia (Yikes).
Happy to report dysautonomia seems to have faded after stopping, but I can feel inflammation again now (GLP1 noticeably reduced inflammation in my hand).
I’m still considering that maybe I’m amongst the people who would do better on a super low dose? I’m not game to try again just yet.
It’s definitely an interesting tool & glad it’s working for some people.

Autonomic dysfunction drives a self-reinforcing neurovascular cascade: blood–brain barrier disruption, microglial activation, oxidative stress, and impaired neurovascular coupling compromising neuronal energy metabolism and synaptic function.

I believe this injury is reversible because I witness recovery - but it is profoundly unrecognized across medicine. Without recognition, patients are dismissed, under-investigated, and told they are fine while cognitive function and quality of life continue to decline.

A generation of young, previously healthy people are deteriorating with severe acquired brain dysfunction. Labeling this as “brain fog” erases severity, obscures biology, and delays recognition of true neurologic injury characterized by neurovascular and metabolic derangements.

I think this combined with propranolol put my sudden onset POTS into remission when I was 19. Had it for like 3-5 months then didn't have anything like that again until I got covid at 24.

Start with lowest dose possible (with the tablets you get), for me that was 12.5mg. Increased every other week, 12.5mg and landed with 50mg).
It helped very clearly my brain inflammation. My son takes it too, 25mg for him.

Me too - around 6 months after my Post Vaccine Syndrome, I had a huge improvement on Fluvoxamine. I think it saved me and enabled me to stop the progression of my decline and eventually recover further with other meds.
FWIW, I took 12.5mg, which was me cutting the lowest dose in 1/2.
Like her, I saw my elevated RHR drop the very next day. I felt the improvement around day 10. I did not have neuro symptoms like hers though, mine was all physical debilitating fatigue and dysautonomia.
At around 9 months, I started to decline again and that's when I got Pemgarda and got a more lasting recovery. I still have mild dysautonomia, but that's it.

📢A #LongCOVID and #MECFS journey from #BEDBOUND to functional with limitations......
Last night I had a late night family dinner at a nice restaurant with my Mom, son, nephew and brothers family. For 4.5 years I have been barely able to shower, much less get out of bed and get dressed up and attend a family dinner. I still have 101 things wrong INSIDE my BODY BUT I'm feeling renewed ENERGY and STRENGTH and feeling overall BETTER. I did come home and immediately go to bed with a #POTS flare but I will rarely have #PEM and if I do it only lasts a day or 2.
I got over #reactivatedEBV with a full blown case of "MONO" in just 14 days!!!
❓️What changed???
🎯In March 2026, I started taking #Hydroxychloroquine for post surgical #Panniculitis that occurred after post surgical #Sepsis #SIRS and #MultifocalPneumonia (1/2026) prescribed by my Rheumatologist and have remained on it daily at now just a low dose. #Immunomodulation
🎯I started giving myself #NAD+ with MOTS-c Intramuscular injections 💉 Twice Weekly and #Glutathione + CJC1295/Ipamorelin Intamuscular Injections 💉Three times weekly, faithfully in March 2026 as well. Given by my Sports Med Physiatrist/Physical Rehab.
🎯I have also asked Physicians for other meds to control Chronic Systemic Inflammation, such as Colchicine (prescribed to "decrease cardiovascular risk" by my Cardiologist) and my weekly subcutaneous #GLP injection 💉 by my Endocrinologist.
🎯The BIG GUNS .... August 5th I started #Hizentra SCIg home infusion 10g Three times weekly!!💉 Healthy Donor Antibodies flooding my system.🩸 Prescribed by my Neuroimmunologist for #SFN #Autoimmune issues. Ultimately hoping to help with my #POTS that is unregulated on 3 meds, possibly because autoimmune SFN and its toll on constricting my blood vessels appropriately. 😞
🎯I also just started taking L-Methylfolate with my morning Liposomal Vitamin C and also D3/K2 drops, 1 drop with my biggest (only) daily meal.
🎯I had my Endocrinologist draw a complete Iron panel🩸 (regardless of my "great hemoglobin and hematocrit") and a Thyroid, Vit D panel 🩸 and gave him my 2020 (preCovid results), my 2022 (5 months post #LongCOVID Diagnosis results) and 2 results since with my FERRITIN going from a robust "127" in 2020 to "31" just last week with DECREASED IRON PRODUCTION on a BONE MARROW BIOPSY in 10/2025 with DYSPOIESIS including NUCLEAR IRREGULARITY and KARYORRHEXIS! Iron Saturation went as low as 4% and so I asked for home #IVIron Venofer Infusions and my ENDOCRINOLOGIST AGREED and sent in an order Friday! 🥳
🎯I try to drink 1-2 tumblers daily with #SALLT (blue slushy flavor) OR @drinkLMNT (these electrolyte drink mixes do NOT have B vitamins incase you have #MTHFR gene mutation).🧂💧🧂💧
⚠️There is NO CURE for #LongCovid #MeCFS #Dysautonomia #SFN ETC.
BUT I AM DOING EVERYTHING IN MY POWER to ADVOCATE FOR MYSELF and get TREATMENTS to TARGET #OxidativeStress #SystemicInflammation help with #Immunomodulation and correct the #ImmunometabolicDysfunction that can leave you feeling MISERABLE and keep you a ZOMBIE and BEDBOUND 24/7!! 🛏🦽
⚠️AND OF COURSE I DO STILL MASK WITH N95'S 😷 (I love ❤️ my @MakriteN95 with vent and 2 strap that clasps behind your head) AND USE OTHER MITIGATIONS as well ..... air purification, far UVC lighting, oral probiotic lozenges, testing, etc
NO, I DIDN'T MASK AT OUR DINNER LAST NIGHT IN A VIRTUALLY EMPTY, LARGE, OPENED, WELL VENTILATED RESTAURANT with specific RESERVATION requests.
*I am NOT giving Medical Advice on Medications/Treatments. Only what has made a HUGE difference for "ME". My only ADVICE is to RESEARCH, SEND ARTICLES TO your "SPECIALISTS", stay on them and REQUESTS LABS, TESTS, IMAGES and SUGGEST appropriate EVIDENCED BASED THERAPIES or MEDICATIONS for your particular situation. Find a medical reason besides #LongCOVID so they will be approved through Medical Insurance with PROPER CODING. BE YOUR BIGGEST ADVOCATE!!

I know this won’t be a solution for everyone, but had a few people mention they can’t watch TV, neither can I on normal TV setups.
What was an absolute game changer for me was:
iPad + Red Filter + Orange Night mode + Reduce white point
I cannot explain how much it transformed my electronic ability.
Same with phone -> Red filter + Orange night mode 24/7 never off
If I even look at an actual TV or even a laptop for 5-10 minutes I get extreme crashes. On this setup I can comfortably do 4-5 hours a day.

What Happens After Infection?
In many of my patients, infection is only the beginning. What follows is a cascade of dysautonomia, immune dysregulation, neuroinflammation, and small-fiber injury - interconnected processes that can sustain illness long after acute infection.

Joey Mazzone
July 15, 1999 – August 7, 2026
From his obituary:
dignitymemorial.com/obituari…
"Joseph "Joey" Anthony Mazzone
In lieu of flowers, Joey’s wish was for everyone to listen to his music, especially on Spotify. To honor his wishes, we will be giving out True Grit’s Bitten By A Snake album for free as long as supplies last. Check out his Linktree or use the QR code for more information.
Please share any pictures, videos, memories, or anything that feels right to you about Joey.
Joseph "Joey" Anthony Mazzone, beloved son, musician, martial artist, advocate, leader, and friend, passed away on August 7, 2026, at the age of 27, following an extraordinary ten-year battle with severe chronic and rare illnesses. [...]
At just four years old, he began Taekwondo, eventually earning his third-degree black belt and becoming an accomplished competitive martial artist. In 2010, Joey became Nevada State Champion in four divisions and won a World Championship title in Forms while placing in three additional divisions at the World Championships. [...]
Joey was equally exceptional academically. He maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout school and attended Bob Miller Middle School and Bishop Gorman High School. His talent for creative writing earned him scholarship recognition, but even as a young student, Joey was concerned with far more than his own accomplishments.
At Bob Miller, Joey became wheelchair certified and began dedicating his time to helping students with disabilities, becoming the first student at his school to take on that role. What began after a deeply personal conversation with God became an important part of his life. From approximately seventh through eleventh grade, he continued supporting young people with disabilities through Grant A Gift Foundation. His kindness and service were recognized with a “Be Kind” Award from the Governor of Nevada. By his junior year, Joey had received more than 15 scholarship opportunities.
Tragically, the young man who had spent years helping people with disabilities would soon become disabled himself.
On July 24, 2016, at only 17 years old, Joey developed the sudden onset of continuous, unremitting head pain that would never go away. He was eventually diagnosed with New Daily Persistent Headache (NDPH), a neurological headache disorder characterized by a distinctly remembered onset and daily, persistent head pain from its beginning. There are currently no medications specifically approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of NDPH, leaving patients and physicians to rely largely on treatments developed for other headache disorders and on trial and error in an attempt to find relief.
“Headache” hardly seems strong enough to describe the relentless pain and pressure Joey experienced 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It marked the beginning of nearly a decade of complex illness and relentless pain. To put the severity of NDPH into terms that are difficult to comprehend, by the time of Joey’s death, he had endured approximately 87,972 consecutive hours without freedom from that pain.
[...]
Over the years, Joey faced diagnoses including gastroparesis, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS)/dysautonomia, autonomic failure, autoimmune encephalitis, Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS), tethered cord, cranial instability, increased intracranial pressure, and several vascular compressions, including both jugular veins, as well as renal and iliac vein compressions, including Nutcracker syndrome, along with additional complex conditions.
His treatments included IVIG, plasmapheresis, a craniospinal fusion in 2021, and countless appointments, procedures, hospital visits, diagnostic tests, medications, and attempts to find even a measure of relief."
Rest in peace, Joey. 🕯🕊
Condolences to his family and all who knew and loved Joey.

Can cognitively severe peopke check in
Does being strict with Mong term pacing and no phone use etc help you improve over time vs continue declining

:( I don't think I will stabilize because mine is Cognitive severity, which is in turn reducing my physical ability. But I will do so anyway because what other option do I have?

TW assisted suicide / #MEcfs
It breaks my heart to share this video. It's Luigi saying goodbye shortly before MAID/assisted suicide due to ME/CFS on 11 July 2026.
Nonetheless, I also believe people should not close their eyes or look away from what is happening here. Young people are dying — or "choosing" MAID — because their suffering has become unbearable.
We need help. There are millions of us. Things have to change.
Farewell, Luigi. 🕯🕊

Yesterday evening I left my bedroom for the 1st time in 7wks.
It was a mammoth effort from all involved, but glorious all the same, so special.
I saw a Jersey Tiger moth, bees, heard the leaves gently rustling in the tree as I looked up, felt grass against my skin, & lived.

The Failure of Sleep Medications in Long COVID and ME/CFS
Sleep disturbance is often mislabeled as insomnia. Patients sleep for hours yet awaken exhausted and feeling poisoned. The problem is not falling asleep - it's the inability to generate restorative, physiologic sleep.
