On this #WorldPrematurityDay we celebrate the resilience and strength of premature babies and their families. But also thinking about the inequalities in neonatal care around the world. Each baby’s loves is worth the same immeasurable value, whether born in Gaza or Edinburgh.

New RCT: extra 30 min of skin-to-skin (90 vs 60 min) in healthy newborns led to 44% increase (‼️) in exclusive BF at ~2-3 days, with effects maintained until 14 weeks.
Those are big gains from a 30 min cuddle session!
