I read the ICEBERG paper and thought I'd try using threshold signatures in a mobile Lightning wallet.
Seeing the PoC on eclair was a W because I like building using @acinq_co code.
I called the wallet Bennu... because it's a classical inspiration to a Phoenix/@PhoenixWallet.
We were very impressed by how ICEBERG enabled threshold custody on the Lightning network. So we set out to build Bennu to be a mobile Lightning wallet with threshold custody.
Extending the work @nadav_kohen, @jesseposner, et al. did on @acinq_co's eclair, to lightning-kmp.

Your next open-source contribution doesn’t have to be code.
- Review a PR.
- Ask a question.
- Help someone catch a bug.
- Give a contributor the feedback they need to ship.
There are more ways to contribute than writing code.

When you are solving for the probability of something happening, one of the best ways to also get the answer is to look at the probability of that thing not happening.

A little appreciation for code reviewers. 🫡
Someone took the time to review your code. Be that person for someone else.
Go find a PR that needs review and give it a second pair of eyes on Pull. 👀

There's a new version of this post
I had a conversation with a friend about this a few days ago, Ai is not only coming for our jobs(it is closer already), it is also coming for our Intellectual Properties.
It’s the craziest time to be a tech founder. 😂
The goalposts have shifted. The moat is increasingly distribution, not just technology.
You have to keep up with an insanely fast-evolving market while AI is coming for all our jobs. 😂😂
If you can build, find distribution, and build a sustainable business in this climate, you’re a legend.
