We never chose war. It was imposed on us. Ukraine’s entire post-Soviet history is one of people repeatedly voting for calm and stability - not escalation or NATO. Radicals and pro-war voices against Russia consistently lost elections and stayed on the margins. People wanted to live, not fight. Even in 2019, Zelensky won 73% not by promising to take Moscow, but by promising peace. He lied. We always asked for peace. We got war, corruption, and dictatorship.
