Welcome to the official Global Ecosystems Atlas X page. Convened by @GEOSEC2025, the Atlas is the first harmonised resource dedicated to mapping and monitoring all the world’s ecosystems. #MapEcosystems

The Global Ecosystems Atlas team is heading to #COP17Armenia! We'll be there to champion how mapping ecosystems gives governments evidence to meet biodiversity targets, and businesses data to understand the nature they depend on and affect. Info ⤵️ earthobservations.org/about-…

📣 Call for peer review! If you're a CBD or SBSTTA focal point, represent indigenous peoples & local communities, or work in a relevant organisation, @GEOSEC2025 is calling for review of draft guidelines for the development of national ecosystem maps ⤵️ earthobservations.org/groups…

We returned from #IUCNWCC with real momentum behind the Global Ecosystems Atlas. Read how we advanced ecosystem intelligence at the world’s biggest conservation congress ⤵️ earthobservations.org/about-…

The Global Ecosystems Atlas is powered by collaboration, like in our work with @allen_ai. Using AI2’s OlmoEarth Platform, our team at @JCU's Global Ecology Lab can map ecosystem types across the planet with unprecedented speed and precision ↓ #MapEcosystems

“This is exactly what we need – especially for big countries with small populations.” At our Global Ecosystems Atlas event, Mongolia’s @UNCCD COP17 rep, Ariuntuya Dorjsuren, highlighted how tools like the Atlas help countries turn data into action for land and people.

We were honoured to have @IUCN's Stewart Maginnis open our #IUCNCongress event: “The Global Ecosystems Atlas is meeting the demands of civil society, private sector, government and regulators.” #MapEcosystems

We are looking forward to attending #IUCNcongress next week. We'll be there to talk about the Global Ecosystems Atlas, share progress, learn about the priorities of countries, businesses and organisations, and connect with the IUCN community.
